I ordered a sign and could not be happier!! She was able to take my order and finish the sign AND deliver it to my house in one day! Amazing customer service! I can’t wait to hang the sign in my bedroom!

We have purchased several items (and some customs) and have never been disappointed. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she truly has an eye for design and composition. Rebecca has always been very kind and flexible - taking payment online to hold certain items until we could make it to pick up or arranging to meet at an easier location for both of us. So, I was scrolling through the FB Marketplace just checking out what people were selling. I encountered this really nice antique side table that would go perfectly with our dining room table. I message the seller to see if it was available, her response the next morning was that it was. I offered a lower price, she declined so I immediately agreed to her price and arranged an exchange. I had to pick up my nephew in Brunswick (an hour car ride total) before I could pick up the table, my plans were scheduled to occur during her business hours. While enroute I messaged that I was 4 minutes away from the shop, I made it in 2. I excitedly arrive at the shop that was designated as the exchange spot within the allotted time in which we agreed upon. I stand in this tiny antique store (had 2 cute pieces and many rustic decorations that were clearly not antique and signs that were overpriced) where 3 women were conversing. I politely wait my turn to speak (I was standing there for a good 7 or 8 minutes while these ladies talked and completely ignored me (2 were facing towards me and were giving me awkward looks(I ignored their looks while imagining how pretty of an addition this perfect little table would be). As I am waiting, I received a message saying the table was already sold. I said to her (as she kept giving me dirty looks and nudging her coworker (she had an obnoxious, hateful grin). I said to her, "Excuse me Rebecca, we had set up an agreement via Facebook for this purchase. She boldly states, I told you "no holds" (no she didn't). I state, "No ma'am, check our conversation, you did not state that at any time. This is not how the rules of Facebook groups for selling goods go." She states, "The table got sold hours ago and this is how the rules go because of my experiencing no shows." I look at her in disbelief and annoyance and say, "Well, I am clearly not a no show since I am standing right in front of you and I will be reporting how you are conducting business because this was a complete waste of time and resources." She looks at her coworker with an evil, cheshire grin and they start laughing snidely at me. I walk away disappointed and annoyed. She could have had some common decency or courtesy to message that the table was no longer available hours before I arrived, then it wouldn't have been so awkward and unprofessional. All in all, just wanted to spread the word about about Rebecca Riley of Riley's Refined Designs located in Hallowell, watch out if you do business with this rude, judgemental, unprofessional woman. She does not abide by the guidelines, rules, or standards set forth for conducting business on Facebook or common decency to your fellow human. She seems to be a mean woman who likes to mistreat people and embarrass them for her own amusement.

I am flabbergasted by the way Rebecca Riley conducts business. She is extremely unprofessional. Selling online comes with a responsibility to buyers. 1 bad experience selling online doesn’t give her a right to slight others because you’ve held an item and they didn’t show up. So, you have a store front where items are held. So what are you really losing by holding what’s already held there and a person not showing up? Because the lady is rude and unprofessional. A friend went to buy a piece she had and she sold is after she said it was available to her and when my friend asked about it, she was very rude and laughed in her face about it. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I’d bring your business elsewhere to a store that deserves the business.
