I was at the Gorham post office today waiting in line for my expensive book of stamps. I had the privilege of watching one of the employees interact with an elderly deaf patron. Her smile was genuine and she treated her customer with the utmost respect. Wish I had caught her name but I didn’t. I wish everyone with a “challenge” was treated with such kindness.
Thank you, Gorham Maine post office employee!! My heart is full because of what I witnessed.

Stop assuming that people are not home. Some people are disabled, can’t drive, don’t have cars, or park their cars in a closed garage. Please remind your drivers to get out of their trucks and knock on a door once in a while.I’ve had live animals die in the mail and I’ve missed bills because of this.

It's a small town post office in Maine. It delivers the mail 99% of the time. Make sure you give yourself extra time if you're visiting the office. They run on a shoe string budget—like most government organizations—so odds are they only have a person or two manning the counter.Some of these reviews suggest the Gorham Post Office is throwing bricks through windows. In reality, they'll leave it on your doorstep if you're willing to pay the postage.

Can someone answer the phone! When mail forwarding is not happening I need someone to answer the phone to fix it. Been trying for 4 straight hours on redial! Poor customer service and management at this office.

This is by far the worst run postal service I've ever seen or heard of in my entire life. I'm a person who gets a lot of packages for my business in the mail and in the past month or two I'd say a good 45 percent of my packages have said delivered but they were delivered to a completely different address this is unacceptable. There is zero care for where peoples important mail ends up. I'm am so irritated with this as there's not even a good way to communicate with them without having to go to the post office itself wich I love 20 mins from. They need to get there act together and put the time and care in to insure the correct people are receiving the correct packages.

One of the drivers that delivers to Friendly Village has several times lied about my requesting that packages be held at the post office when I did no such thing Both my husband and I are disabled and have to order our home and medical supplies from Amazon or Sam's club. I've tried to eliminate heavy orders but they sometimes don't deliver even the small orders. But being dishonest is low ,very low.
