I am so completely disgusted and disappointed with Hannaford at this point. They have become a perfect example of a business that found out they could price gouge during COVID. The biggest problem is they never stopped.
Something else permanently costs more every week. There are regularly sections just completely empty. ToGo shoppers take up the entire aisle with their carts and pick shelves dry. It feels like they restock with as little as possible to make it seem like the long gone "supply chain issues" are still here to justify their prices. Awfully curious how other stores recovered from that problem.
I could go on about the other issues. Paper bags thinner than my toilet paper. Cart wipes always empty. $9 for a damn Birthday card. Vitamins section organized by someone that hasn't discovered the alphabet. Etc.
This is not unique to the Gorham Hannaford. Every single one has the same issues. Do yourself a favor and spend the time price comparing at other grocery stores. A significant portion of what I buy is cheaper, bafflingly, at Whole Foods.

So on on February 10 I went get grocery I go get cash out one the line she said I only take less 14 item so I go to another line and I watch that person take a customer I was just in then I had two Young people I ask them have a nice day and they laughed like okay I k know im ugly but what is your problem stop judging people on there look cause they picked ur line I’m a human

Today I stopped at this location to do some weekly grocery shopping. Upon entering the parking area, I found the lot to be clean, obstacle free and without maintenance issues. The store was in the same good condition with the shelves amply stocked. I was not acknowledged nor did I receive any welcoming or parting greeting. Very spacious. A bit less crowded even at 5pm than other Hannaford's nearby. Have increased their selection of plant based and organic. I am very sold on this location.

1/9/24 Update: if I had more choices for groceries I'd be giving up on Hannaford completely after the never ending issues in my past 6 visits in a row. Carside Togo's quality in service has absolutely done a complete 180 into some of the most inconsistent service at this store. Over filing bags to the point that they break open while unloading. Food cross contamination putting raw meats in with cooked and produce. I'm keeping my original review below because this store used to be incredible and I'm open to giving second chances.
Give ppl full time jobs, a livable wage with benefits and watch the employees & store do better! Make them invested in the success of your company. The quality of Hannaford's products has also noticeably dropped. I can tell there have been changes in producer quality. Such a shame. Looks like Market Basket and Costco will be taking my business because I can't count on Hannaford anymore.
As an Immunocompromised transplant patient the Carside to go has been one of the best features to come out of Hannaford in a long while.
I still do not go into the store due to my compromised status but the carside team has been awesome!
I'm not certain what's going on with corporate and the changes to some of the Hannaford brand foods but they can stop changing formulations any time because you're effecting the quality of your food in general!
