This facility won't offer Silver Sneakers so I wonder what they offer for senior citizens.

I love having a Y membership. Having access to a pool, workout room, classes, and sauna (at some locations) for the current adult membership fee is worth it to me. I appreciate having options. However, it is very frustrating to not be able to use any of the YMCA of Southern Maine locations as they are not offering reciprocity. I don’t even live out of state — just have a Y membership at a different branch. The YMCA is meant to be a welcoming place for all. Those of us without YMCA of Southern Maine branch memberships should absolutely be able to use these facilities also, especially if we are also Maine residents.

This has become my happy place in the past year. The staff always greets you with a huge smile and a welcoming word. The facility is run professionally with great attention to everyone's health and welfare.

Is this a liberal gym only?? Seriously I just got a membership and a day later they make you wear masks when you work out. I am wanting a refund! Awful

Horrible experience. Unhelpful and rude staff. Seating in the pool area is abysmal. No room for ANYTHING. I will never come here again and I'll make sure to let everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs

Outstanding facility. Welcoming staff (thankyou, Susan). And The Best spin class ever(Meg). I do travel a lot and experience any gyms. This is neither the largest or poshiest: but overwhelmingly is the friendliest and cleanest.

MY daughter and I have been going to this YMCA for years and we love it. We appreciate how affordable it is for all that is offers. The facility is great and the choice of classes is terrific. The sense of community is also wonderful! I highly recommend this place!

The staff is the best part of this branch! Everyone is so kind and helpful. Sadly though there are some downfalls starting with the equipment. The parking lot was just expanded, which probably cost millions, but the Y can't afford (or refuses) to buy simple things like new benches for the weight room, which are covered in holes. In addition to that one of the reasons for only 3/5 stars is that the gym doesn't open until 9 on Sundays. How inconvenient for people who like to get their workout done early!

I usually give great ratings, but my experience here has been pretty dismal. A couple of employees have a hard time saying what they mean, and it makes it really hard to communicate. I'm not sure why these people are in customer service type roles. Bad placement. :( I signed the kids up for a yearly membership, but after my experience it's unlikely we'll come back after swim lessons are over.
