It's a giant gourmet marker that isn't overpriced or pretentious. Seriously, so many great options of so very many items - An impressive selection at reasonable prices, great staff, friendly atmosphere. My only regret is that it's hundreds of miles away

Personally I love bow street in Freeport ME. The only issue I have is for some reason an employee decided to insert themselves into a conversation I was having with another employee simply to say I was being rude. Keep in mind the conversation was about the music I was listening to and I was asked what it was. Flash forward and I cannot seem to get ahold of the store manager to discuss this issue. This isn't the only store that I have available to shop at it is however the one I USED to enjoy going to

Stopped in to buy flowers for a friend. Lovely little local spot to grab essential groceries or a fun treat! Would definitely come here again. Wonderful selection of locally-made products, and they appear to support local businesses! Great atmosphere! :D

Bought lobsters at this location today….1 female was laden with eggs. Two of them had been “scrubbed” it’s pretty sad that such a prestigious market would enable the selling of illegal lobsters- obviously they care more about the dollar bill vs responsible harvest of a resource. Perhaps they are buying them from out of state? Instead of supporting our local lobstermen. I will never shop here again. I encourage others to do the same and hold them accountable.

My favorite supermarket in maine high quality, locally sourced food for very reasonable prices. They even offer hard liquor at a great value.

One aspect that truly stood out was the phenomenal customer service we received. The staff at Bow Street Market went above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable and memorable. But what truly warmed our hearts was the special attention given to my daughter's curiosity. She was particularly fascinated by the lobsters in the tank, and one of the associates, recognizing her interest, kindly took the time to engage her in a learning adventure. It's the little moments and attention to detail that sets businesses apart from others.

Bow Street Market is a very homey type of supermarket; I enjoy shopping there very much. Tons of different cold cut options AND the best --- Boar's Head. Many types of pre-made salads. I recommend the Greek pasta salad. A fantastic meat dept. Though, I do miss their store-made crapple. Prices of grocery items are comparable to Shaw's or Hanniford's. Oh, almost forgot... A wide variety of made-in-Maine items.

My husband and I stopped in on our way home. While we have enjoyed our experience with the quality of food, the person who checked us out today, Ellie, was extremely rude. It was very disappointing to have that happen.

Bow Steel market is a one-off Freeport landmark. It's a sort of Mainer Whole Foods, modest but special. You can get wonderful cuts of meat or spam if you prefer. Macallan 12 or cream soda.

Their meat counter is great quality stuff. I do wish they did some precut beef filets. REALLY good bread selection and top quality poultry.

Super helpful staff members, great deals at the meat counter, always fresh produce and though it is a smaller market, we can always find just what we are looking for. Clean, efficient, well stocked and always friendly!

One of my must stops when in freeport. The house made sausage. And the fish dept a cut above.Lots of goodies to round out a meal. Prepared by them. Per sq ft. Outstanding selection.

Bow Street Market packs a lot into a smaller space. A full produce section, fish and meat market along with pre-packaged deli items make it an easy stop to grab items for dinner or picnic outside. A large beer, wine and liquor selection on-site will help you find that nice bottle of wine or champagne to compliment dinner that are not as readily available elsewhere.
