I've owned Audis for 20 years and been to many, many shops in New England and the midwest over that time. My most recent came from the dealership and over the past few years I'd been getting lazy going to them for service rather than trying to find a good independent shop. I just had a full inspection and scheduled 40k service at the dealership which included fixing a broken spring and replacing all brakes and rotors. Only 200 miles later, the brakes still sound awful and the other front spring is now broken. Having lost faith (and quite a bit of money) to the dealership, I do my research and make an appointment at Autowerkes to fix the spring. They get me in in two weeks and do one of the most thorough inspections I've seen for someone who is coming in with a specific issue. They even point out that my rear wiper fluid pump is not working, which has never worked since I got the car from the dealer and which the dealer never mentioned over several years of service. They found rotten backing plates on my brake assembly - remember, dealer just changed all brakes and rotors. They noted rusted exhaust clamps, which I really appreciated having previously experienced catastrophic exhaust mount failure in a former car. After I approved everything, I was confused as they didn't tell me how many days it would take to fix it - turns out they got it all done same day. The total cost added up to just what the dealer charged me just for fixing a broken spring.
It's the first time I felt like I should add a tip to my shop bill.

Autoworkes Maine has an incredible team. They were quick to get my car in and repaired. They were prompt with replies, and with keeping me informed. Everything being done electronically was a huge convenience. I would recommend them 100 percent.

If you’d given me the option for a Five Star Plus - I would have take it.
I’m not an auto expert and I can’t give you the details of this service experience from a technical perspective. What I can tell you - is everyone at Autowerkes that we dealt with gave us first class customer service and the confidence that they could handle our situation. They dealt with the insurance company, explained the entire process and we now have our car back and it’s perfect! Their knowledge, experience and customer service will keep us coming back.
