We arrived later and they had a room, thankfully! We were supposed to have a room at another hotel but it was horrible. The ladies were all friendly and helpful!

Got in late and left early so I didn't actually spend much time here, but I have no real complaints. Front desk attendant was kind, quick, and courteous. Room was cleaned, smelled nice, and had everything you'd expect in a double queen bedroom.
Breakfast in the morning was perhaps my only complaint, as there was nothing fresh (except maybe some bananas?), just packaged pastries, cereal, and coffee. But I'm not sure it's reasonable to expect much more at a remote place like this for these prices.
Ultimately there are so few places to stay in Fort Kent that this could be terrible and you'd have no recourse, but it is a solid motel that I would genuinely recommend.

We didn't have super high expectations of this hotel. When checking in, we typically use chain places.
That being said, this was a very nice experience. Location seems "old-fashioned" in the really nice ways, but modern enough in the ways that you might care about. For example, extraordinarily good quality Wi-Fi and photocopied local menus inside the room.
We were there during a relatively hot period, and found that the traditional mounted air conditioner was insufficient to combat the heat. That was a minor detail overall in the very pleasant stay.

Cass at the front desk along with all the other girls were above and beyond nice. Next time I am up that way I will stay there again for sure.

Literally across the street from the border of Canada. The staff is great. Rooms are very clean and housekeeping is super nice. I'm here in the summer and the AC is ice cold. I would definitely stay again.

Room was spotless. Facility clean. Staff was nice. Daniel was helpful with the reservation. All in all great place to stay.
Rooms: Bed was a tiny bit hard for me, but the room and staff more than made up for it. Even the continental breakfast area was spotless.
Food and drinks: Nice little family restaurant in the same parking lot.

Very nice staff that checked us in. Very helpful. Nice rooms if your in the front of the building.
Nearby activities: We were there to ride side by sides. Trails were close, we'll marked and it was beautiful!
Food and drinks: We got back from wheeling aroubd 9, and not much was open. We had a bar or mcdonalds.

Very nice. We had to wait for the room to cool off, though. It was a warm day and then we found out our TV didn't work and they offered to move us. But we were already settled in.

I have stayed at the Northern Door Inn several times for both business and pleasure.
The rooms I've had were always meticulously clean. There was not even a speck of dust anywhere. There were clean linens and towels and a very good shower with a lot of water pressure!
The staff has always been pleasant too.
If you're going to be in or around Ft. Kent, I give the Northern Door Inn my highest possible recommendation!

Walkability: Once I get off the bike at the end of a long adventure, travel day, I am not getting back on until the next morning. Being able to walk to sites and restaurants is essential for my trip planning.

Business trip and found the rooms to be very clean and well maintained. I was worried because there was not a coffee maker in the room, but the front desk kept a large pot of fresh coffee available 24/7. Room had a microwave and frig. Was focused on getting work done and this was the perfect place.
