This is a beautiful bookseller—or was, pre-COVID—and I'm sure it still is, but by appointment only. My wife and I haunt used book stores, so this feels out of my league, but I have bought books here on occasion, and always enjoy—enjoyed browsing.

Knowledgeable booksellers who care about their community. Diverse selection, great sidelines, and a great place to spend time and money. DDG has a great appointment system where you can call ahead or from the street, or safely pick up books curbside. The sellers are truly committed finding innovative ways to get us books safely. They have a great newsletter and facebook page with updates, online ordering. They even ship!

I've supported this local bookstore for 20 years only to be rudely turned away at the door today because apparently they are open by appointment only now. This was not posted on their website nor was it plainly stated at the door. No apology was offered and when I asked to make an appointment I was told no. I guess they prefer we shop at Amazon which is what I intend to do from here on out. They respond but their appointment pnly status was NOT at all displayed on their websitw nor on the door. Still no apology. I certainly won't return.

I've started using DDG as my go-to source for ordering books online, as a more ethical alternative to Amazon. Shipping's free with media mail if you order a couple, and cheap otherwise; and they're super nice and helpful. Their website is pretty easy to use as well, and they can get almost anything.

I can not over emphasize how fantastic this bookstore is. my children and I have often browsed the shelves and whenever we were looking for something specific they always had it. We have always enjoyed the shop but recently I wanted a book by a local author and not only did they have a copy they arranged for the author to sign the book for me! it was a gift for my parents and the book has significance to them so when I asked if the author ever did book signings. the did me on

Love this bookstore! Packed with all the best things any bookstore could offer, from the classic to the unusual. And if by chance, what you are looking for is not found by Karen or the other wonderful staff in the store, they are happy to track it down and order it.
