I've always been satisfied with Dr. Morin as Benny's Vet. Hometown is clean, inviting, and always helpful. I would recommend Hometown Veterinary Clinic to anyone. The Staff is always friendly. ???

Wonderful caring people. We had a Yorkie who was very sickly. They took such good care of Riley - and us. Now we have two kittens and they too are patients of the special people at Hometown Vet.

I’d just like to say these are some of the kindest, most compassionate, and competent people at this animal hospital I’ve dealt with in all my years as a pet parent. I’m 54 & have had pets all my life, so that’s saying a lot!! I’m rather particular & neurotic when it comes to my pets too. Dr. Sandberg is great, as is Chelsea the tech who cared for my tiny baby chi Lilly through her dental yesterday. Brandy at the front desk is very kind, friendly & pleasant. Literally everyone I’ve dealt with there is like this. We had to have our beloved 20 yr old cat Romeo put to rest in Dec after a long battle with kidney disease. They were so kind & accommodating. They really care & it shows. This was such a difficult time for us & they did everything they could to comfort us, assure us it was the right decision & honor our wishes. My 2 chihuahuas & 3 cats all go here & we’ve had many emergencies. They always fit us in, even on short notice. They’ve eased my mind at times when I was worrying, thinking something was worse than it was, and they’re patient & explain things very thoroughly! That’s important!! They may be a bit more expensive than some other vets in the area but for peace of mind & the quality of care my babies have received it’s worth it. I’m very thankful to all the staff at HT! Thank you all for the wonderful job you do! Thank you for caring so much about my beloved pets& making us feel important when we’re there!

We recently had a wonderful experience with Dr. Walsh. Our 2 year old golden retriever had a growth on her foot and he put our mind at ease as I was very freaked out. He explained what it was very professionally, and we scheduled an appointment within a timely manner to get our girl comfortable and have it removed. As soon as he was done her procedure he himself called me to explain how the procedure went and what to expect for aftercare. Highly recommend this practice. I’ve also always had a very positive experience with amazing communication with their front desk. Laura is always very attentive to my messages and someone gets back to me quickly.

Please don't go to Hometown. They are the coldest vets I've ever seen. They misdiagnosed by precious shih tzu, along with the vet in Scarborough. I took him to Kennebec Vet to give him another liver enzyme test and he knew something else was wrong and took an x-ray and he was filled with cancer and had congestive heart failure. How could two vets not have found the real problem? So, he's been suffering when I would never have allowed it. Also, I've spent thousands of dollars to keep him with me. Hometown vets had a technician who tried to use him as a pin cushion when I put a stop to it. I ended up in the hospital with amnesia on Monday evening and came home early Tuesday evening and am still not feeling well-- as well as missing my precious baby. I've had over 14 dogs in my lifetime and none took my heart like he did. I'm 80 years old.

In Oct., 2022, I called for an appt. and waited until 11/15/22 to come in. My cat was sleeping most of the time and felt hot and, even though his blood-work and exam were normal, I knew something was wrong. On 12/19/22, I returned because my cat was still lethargic, losing weight, and had a cold. Blood-work and X-rays didn't show much. Over the Christmas holiday, I emailed HTV as my cat was showing symptoms of flinching around his face but only a vet. tech. responded. Worried and frustrated, I contacted my old trusted vet in NY who suggested an ultrasound. On 1/9/23, an ultrasound found 2 liver tumors. At this late date, my cat had deteriorated to the point that he couldn't withstand surgery and, on 1/16/22, he was euthanized. I don't plan on returning to Hometown Vet.
