I spent an extra $100+ dollars on a dishwasher to support a local business expecting better service than Home Depot. Yesterday I was told by my salesperson Andrew that my dishwasher was to be delivered today, so I hired a contractor to install it today. This morning I was called only to be told "the dishwasher did not make it onto the truck." When I asked why, I was told "dunno." So I don't have a dishwasher, I have to pay my contractor with nothing to do, and I was not given a proper explanation. On top of that, when I got home yesterday, I noticed that a $10 fuel surcharge had been added to my bill. I was not informed of this at the time of payment. Brown says they have "free delivery" yet they charge a fuel surcharge at a time when fuel is not expensive, their delivery is not free, and they are not straightforward about extra charges. I was going to buy a new refrigerator, stove and drier from them BUT not now!

The service team of Hutch, Chris, and Elijah responded promptly to a problem we had with the initial install of our GE Profile washer/dryer combo due to a faulty drain pan. They did a great job of re-installing the unit with a new drain pan in a tight area. Afterwards Hutch gave a detailed "tutorial" on the machine with suggestions for efficient use and maintenance. All the work was done without extra charge to us. Overall from the sale of the two-in-one by Jay to the install we are very pleased with Brown's customer service.

Customer service is a dying art, good customer service is rare, and great customer service is a needle in a haystack. Brown Appliance strives to provide great customer service and I'm glad they are local and family-owned. They have employees like Thaddeus, in the service department, who have been there over 25 years and who stands by the integrity and commitment to great customer service they provide. I really appreciate "old school" technicians like Joe who tells it like it is with no BS combined with younger technicians like Nick, who troubleshoot things like my washing machine and come up with a solution. I appreciate Brown's willingness to work with people, especially during these hard financial times; that's one of the reasons I prefer giving my business to local businesses. Everybody is struggling in some way but thanks for being human, friendly, funny, professional, and kind when the world needs it the most.

I purchased a Speed Queen washing machine from Brown's Appliance three and a half years ago that their staff recommended, which has had nothing but issues ever since, not to mention never actually cleaning clothes. My clothes consistently come out as dirty as they went in, even when following Brown's recommendation of using the hot water, heavy soil, and heavy duty settings. Brown's made two repair visits within the three year warranty, but both issues have arisen again, one not even a year later, but now outside of the warranty. My machine is not overused, only doing wash every 2-4 weeks, and not over loaded. I have followed all the recommendations of Brown's (since they refuse to admit that they sold me a bad machine), but yet again the machine is broken. Regardless of whether the product is a quality product, the specific machine I was sold is not, and it should be replaced by Brown's if they intend to hold up a reputation of selling quality products and offering quality service.

A heartfelt, well deserved 5 star. I called because I had an error on my dishwasher digital. I had already resigned myself to be on an appointment list after having no dishwasher for 4 days. I spoke with Chad, and he got the book out for my model and helped me troubleshoot the problem and now it’s working! I told him “And this is why I use Brown Appliance”. They really are the best! I’ve bought quite a few appliances from them over the years and will continue to do so.

Mike, one of the members of Brown's service department, has been servicing my propane appliances for years (since 1999?) and yesterday when he was here working on both appliances that I brought with me from Virginia as well as those I have purchased from Brown's, Mike remembered the DETAILS of how he had helped me with each of the appliances!

These guys are very informative and nice I didn't like the price to have them come out and check an appliance but they are the only ones the will come out and repair their appliances

Bought a new washer from Brown’s on Saturday morning. It was delivered and installed by Saturday afternoon and 12 year old washer also bought at Brown’s, removed. Great service and great people to work with.
