“I pulled a DA move. Smashed out the rear crew cab window with power slider, on our F250 truck. Wife's kayak didn't get hurt at all. My fault didn't lash the yak down firmly enough. We drove straight to Sunrise Glass in Brewer, within 30 minutes. Michelle the office lady put crash wrap on the damage so we could drive home without glass flying everywhere. Called my insurance company to report. Michelle made an appointment for us, 3 day wait for parts. The Tech, Alex installed and tested the power slider within 1.5 hours. We were treated very well, answered all our questions, the tech did a great job. We have a $0.00 deductible that is included in our insurance. What more could one ask for? Sunrise Glass gave excellent service and we are so pleased with the repair. Five Star rating without hesitation.

“I had bodywork done to my vehicle here last year which was paid for by insurance. There were a number of issues with the service I received. Which starting off when I went in for the quote, the estimator said what needed to be done to get it back good as new, however he never gave a dollar figure or a cost breakdown. But since every body shop in the area was booked until May, I went with these guys who said they could get me in sometime in March. The other sort of red flag was all of the paperwork you had to sign was extremely hard to read. It looked almost as if it had been photocopied and while doing so, it had been moved because it was extremely blurry.
I sent my truck in no problems there, however when I got it back there were several places where dust from the bondo sanding, which had been painted over. I also noticed what looked like a run in the paint on the B pillar of my truck. Now granted when I first got my truck back it was rainy and crappy and I didn't get a good look at the work. However, the day I went in to bring up the issues the estimator was out and the owner dealt with me. He made sure the issues were taken care of (although you can sort of see the run/bondo fill area if the light hits it just right) and had other work pushed aside to take me back in, which he made everything right and thats where the 4 stars comes from. However, the day I got my truck back the second time I noticed there was a spot on my rear bumper which hadn't been touched up. I forgot who I dealt with that day, but I will own the mistake I probably should have taken another look after they brought it back out of the shop, since it looks like they took one of those small touch up pens and painted over the spot.

Will I come back in the future, maybe/maybe not. I was pleased with the timeline and the fact that the owner took responsibility for the issues with the work.

As for cons, in hindsight I probably should have pushed for a detailed cost breakdown, and there seems to be some issues such as the paperwork being hard to read, etc...”

My wife and I were driving back to Bangor, when the rearview mirror became detached. Realizing that Safelite, when repairing windshields, had to reattach the rearview mirror, they were my first stop.

With no guarantee, they were courteous, pleasant and professional. The rearview mirror is attached, and I am a happy customer.”
