So fun and unique! Not the most accessible due to odd terrain, roots, and narrow staircases, but otherwise fantastic to view and interact with

This is a place you have to see to believe! I was always sort of leery of it because it looks so out of the ordinary- and out of the ordinary it is!
Nellie's jams and jellies is as sweet and wholesome, clean and crisp as any shop could be! Carrying jams and jellies and chutneys, Maine souvenirs, etc. the out of the ordinary part is the fantastic world that borders the jelly shop! What fantastic mind could make such whimsical and sometimes dark sculptures and architecture strewn throughout the woods? It must be experienced!

Wonderful gift shop with a variety of jams, chutney, syrups and many other delights! Creative metal scrap sculptures scattered throughout the woods, many scenes that tell stories. Fun to stroll through. Dog friendly. Small parking area. Friendly people.
Portable outhouse well used, not well maintained.

What a fun place. The jams and jellies are amazing as well. We got a couple different types of jellies to bring home. I was blown away that this place is free for everybody to check out all the art that Peter made and there was even real money inside the church way out back in a collection plate and nobody took it. What a great honest bunch of people are coming to visit. I even smooched all the animal heads. Yeah I know I’m weird. I thought it would make a funny picture.

I did minimal research before heading to Nervous Nellie's, so I was expecting a jam & jelly store with a few sculptures out on the front lawn. The incredible installations around the property were such a welcome and pleasant surprise! I spent over an hour exploring all the different installations - there is SO much to look at.
The art installations are the perfect push-pull balance of compelling and unsettling. Amazing balance of whimsical and macabre, it is just so cool to see someone's vision come to life. I loved the old scuba helmets, projectors, and stained glass. I felt especially drawn to the Church and the Wizard's Tower!
The store is also the cutest place I have ever been and in a future life, I'd like to be a cat that lives in the store. Delicious jams and jellies (I exercised incredible restraint and left with a red raspberry jam, Sunshine Road Marmalade, and mango chutney - yum!!!). My inner child also demanded a "Tales from Woodfield" coloring book, which I can't wait to draw in.
Five thousand stars, what an amazing place and I feel lucky to have gotten to visit!!
