I had an amazing stay at the Lucerne Inn - the location is beautiful and I woke up to a gorgeous lake view out my room window. The inn itself was very warm and welcoming. My room was clean and cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part was how good the food was at the restaurant. Highly recommend!

Went up to Maine for a real New England Thanksgiving! The owners put themselves out of their way for everyone and made it feel like one big family! The food was amazing! Stayed three nights and ate elsewhere one night at a famous restaurant and it could not compare to the Lurene Inn. We had to make our last meal back at the Inn! Still amazing! A must go to !!! I give it a five ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️Rooms: Loved our room over looked the property, mountains, and lake!Food & drinks: If you want an amazing meal for great prices this is the place to go to!Noteworthy details: Great place to visit! Near by children’s museum

I stopped in on Sunday to check out the bar area for a drink and appetizer. The bartender clearly didn't want to be there. He seemed put off by any question or comment. I had the crab cakes and they were like mush, very soggy and not much flavor. The aoli was not good at all. It was overall a dissapointing experience. The fireplace and area was nice but thay was about it.

We we very excited to stay here because we had heard many good things. Unfortunately we were disappointed. After a long day of travel and attending a funeral..we arrived at the hotel a little after 7 pm. We were booked to stay on room 9. The room was clean except for the dead fly on the window sill. We tried to get some rest but from 7:30 til well after 11 p.m. whoever was in the room above were running and jumping making so much noise we could actually feel our head board vibrating. There is absolutely no noise barriers. And at 6:30 a.m. we were awaken again by running and jumping above us. The walls are paper thin and the popcorn ceiling extremely low. We fell back asleep and was awoke again a Lil after 8 by someone screaming at their children in the hallway. We decided to ge up and go to breakfast. Don't be fooled by their website offering free breakfast...it should say free snack. There was a few cups of cereal, granola bars, yogurt, coffee and juice. We went to get coffee and it was empty. I tried to tell the attendant but she was on her phone and couldn't be bothered. She moved to the other end of the bar. They are only getting two stars because of the view. I would definitely advise to look at other lodging options in the area.

We stayed in Room 26 and our stay was excellent. The quaint inn offers a cozy, relaxing stay and the innkeepers, David and Jayne, are wonderful! We had a delicious haddock dinner with outstanding service at the restaurant just upstairs from our room. We will definitely stay here again on our next road trip to Bar Harbor.

We stayed at the Lucerne Inn recently and I have to say those rooms need a huge makeover. 70's carpets, cracked tile in the bathroom, desk chair that should have been thrown out years ago, stained ceiling. For the price we paid, I would have expected the rooms to be more up-to-date. As far as the food, I had a filet mignon and have to say it was delicious. The whole venue is nice, but the rooms definitely need to be upgraded.

I am a wedding photographer and have photographed many weddings here. They always do an excellent job. The food is delicious and they have an onsite coordinator to help with the day. The fall leaves and sunsets here are amazing.

What a gem! This inn is the perfect location to find Maine. From the magnificent coast line to the intrigue of Bangor. The owners are gracious and welcoming. The rooms warm and inviting. Stay for dinner. You'll not be disappointed. We'll certainly return for an extended stay.

My recent experience at Lucerne Inn was regrettably disappointing. We were seated at an unstable table that would rock back and forth each time servers walked by, diminishing the dining atmosphere immediately. To begin, the service felt quite unprofessional. I was handed an unopened can of local craft beer, with no attempt made to pour it into the glass provided. The bread was a letdown, having an off-putting texture and coupled with a low-quality butter that left an unpleasant film in the mouth.Service quality further dwindled with inappropriate comments from the young busgirl throughout our meal. I understand staffing challenges, but it's paramount to maintain a respectful ambiance for the guests.Coming to the food, my expectations fell flat. The seared scallops were improperly cooked, appearing baked rather than seared, and a whiff of ammonia raised concerns about their freshness. The sides that accompanied were just as perplexing; a bland rice pilaf with apparent pinto beans and flavorless broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower. A little butter goes a long way, you know. My dining partner's haddock, noticeably bereft of sauce, mirrored my disappointment. Lacking in flavor and moisture while accompanied by a crust with an unappealing texture.Given the inn's reputation, the food felt reminiscent of a meal at a nursing home, lacking finesse and flavor. Additionally, the 1940s music playlist felt out of place, further diminishing our overall experience.Considering the prices charged, it's hard to see how Lucerne Inn can justify the quality of food and service provided. When contemplating dessert, we were handed a worn out and barely legible menu, making it hard to decipher the evening’s offerings. Given the series of letdowns, we chose to forgo dessert altogether.Food & drinks: The expansive menu felt overwhelming, with a confusing array of choices that detracted from a cohesive dining experience. It would benefit the restaurant to consolidate and streamline their offerings, ensuring a clear and focused vision for the culinary journey they wish to present to their guests.

Local here to tell you that the fried haddock is the best around! House salad is delish! Great staff and atmosphere - especially the bar area with a real fireplace! Would have given 5 stars but the wine list needs more options. ?

This hotel is totally outdated place. I haven’t seen place like this since long time.Hotel didn’t even have small refrigerator inside the room.Room upper level people staying makes noise almost all night. Floor wooden boards cracking sound we couldn’t sleep.Continual breakfast they are serving it’s a joke.Definitely not worth what we paid for $798- 2 night.

Stayed overnight after DJing a wedding there. The entire experience was exceptional from the wedding planner, to the food service staff, and the room!
