We’ll stock and clean.
The store gets very busy and checkout lines were long. Management was working to remedy that situation.
Produce runs low after weekends but there’s always someone working to replenish product.
Meat department was well stocked as was the deli. Specialty areas are an added plus (olive bar, cheeses, seafood,liquor)
Ample parking but not a lot of space if you’re towing.
We’re here every year for 4 weeks and Hannafords is the place to show.

Love me some grocery shopping, Hannaford's is the spot ? fresh look in Damariscotta store. One female employee still got that scowling look on her face ... a smile would help

Typical American grocery store, shelves change every week seemingly, can never find anything I need, and I am tired of employees pretending to be nice because their boss gets angry if they don't.
Also worked here before, very run-of-the-mill toxic corporate workplace, with managers stealing as much money and time from their employee pool as humanly possible.
You can buy food here, but I don't recommend it. Nearly everything is just ultra-processed corn products. I dread going in every time. I've also had to call and complain about the pharmacy cashiers being exceptionally rude to me. I once had to leave the store because the pharmacy cashier embarrassed me so badly.
Just not my preferred grocery store, although I can't honestly say that I prefer any at all.

The remodel is nice! But you made the biggest mistake by getting rid of the salad bar! No amount of new pre-made salads can make up for it. Pre-made salads are so nasty and sit too long. Hannaford gone horribly wrong. Bring back the salad bar!!

Damariscotta Hannaford has a new remodel!!! Please be patient with staff when asking them the location of items as remodel staff have moved things around so we are also learning where things are again. NEW Pizza menu open until 4pm! (Unless short staffed) Sushi has new drinks available in the deli! Deli open from 7am to 7pm!

Polite and helpful staff. This Hannaford tends to have a wider variety of products. This Hannaford is also a 7 day fresh store so the produce, meat, bakery, seafood, and deli get a delivery of product everyday.

Decent grocery store, lots of variety.
Tons of local produce and products.
Currently (spring 2024), the store is a little bit of a mess because they are going through construction.

High priced and over crowded. The pharmacy never has what you order and if they do, it is never ready. Not a fan!!!!!

The order picker rarely finds all the items I need. Seems like they don't really care about getting orders done properly. Sometimes, they will grab something else and replace it, and I'll go right in after the delivery and find the correct items.
