Like everyone I suppose, there are moments the lines have been challenging and the remodeling of the entire store, including the pharmacy, has impacted the employees as much as us customers. In the midst of all of that, the crew behind the counter has gone out of their way to assist me with a number of medication related issues at lifted a fair amount of stress off my shoulders. My hat is off to them and I offer a most sincere thank you to them.

Can't leave a zero star. Been a negative experience for years now. But keeps getting worse. Doctors office sends over a script. Pharmacy says it's not ready 3 days later so I wait for another 40 minutes while they "finish it up" because they were supposedly filling it when I got there. They call me to the counter to let me know they in fact don't actually have it but will order it. But it won't be ready for another 2 days.Send in refills on Friday they say they'll be ready for pickup on Tues so wait until the following Saturday night to pickup and they still are not done. And everyone is going home for the night. Are you kidding? 7 days to fill an antiseizure medication. So finally at 9 am on a Sunday 8 days after being ordered I get a notification that my prescription is ready for pickup. Amazing customer service. Not. And it's always an different excuse. If anyone else was that bad at their job they'd be fired.

You could literally die in line waiting for your scrip. I call ahead to be sure my prescription is ready, they assure me it is or will be….(I also wait a few days to a week after it’s called in) the last two times, not ready and were out of my drug. After being told on the phone it would be ready or was already. Today they told me my insurance wouldn’t cover it I said fine we’ll figure that out later, she was holding it in her hand then said it’s not ready. Ugh. The woman behind me in line was there for her blood pressure medication which they were also out of. For her it had been a week. Then as I left the lines to buy groceries where at least 30 people deep. This store and pharmacy are horrible. I believe the employees try but management is so horrible nobody could make an experience there a positive one.

Not well managed, staff shortages make for ridiculously long lines, prescriptions are often not ready days after they’ve been received. All of this makes for a truly terrible pharmacy experience.

How do you loose a prescription in the system. Seriously. Was in the night before, the lady behind the counter told me it would be 45 mins to fill. I said can I come back in the morning to pick it up she said yes. Get here and nothing in the system, had to call doctors to have them resend the order. New systems or not this should not happen. To be told it's going to be another 45 minute wait this is ridiculous. People need there medications on time. Not happy at all.

The pharmacist are always straight out. The wait time is unacceptable. I witnessed an elderly man pass out waiting in line. The pharmacy personnel are ok but they need more pharmacist. The auto fill will call saying my meds are ready and when I get to the store they are never ready. I've had to go back for my medication several times before I am able to get it.I can't schedule an appointment on line to get my annual shots. It has gotten ridiculous over the past year or two.

Can't give zero stars line of people even when they open prescription is never ready even if they say it is . Claims of it will be are lies wait in line later the same day after being told in morning it'll be ready in half hour still not really. Then told sorry we're a week behind.... really going to take all my business elsewhere including groceries

first off, you cannot get a hold of anyone over the phone. It takes weeks to fill prescriptions and they are never ready when you get there! the line is worse than reds eats.

Can’t get meds filled in any sort of reasonable timeframe (we’re talking days to a week after a med is called in and still not filled), can’t get ahold of anyone in the pharmacy, literally running out of critical medications on a regular basis.

Every time I need a prescription refilled I call, and they don’t answer. I spend days calling, and if you don’t call, you end up waiting in line for 30 minutes, and then waiting another 30 minutes for them to get your meds ready.

Better off hiring from McDonald's across the street.

While the grocery part of the Damariscotta Hannaford is good, the pharmacy is pretty dysfunctional. I've stood in line for 40 minutes to pick up a prescription. Today, I had a 1PM appointment for a Covid shot. When I got there, I found a line of about 15 people ahead of me. The woman in front had been waiting 40 minutes. So why even pretend that appointments matter? I understand that finding people is difficult. they need to try harder.

The employees here need to be retrained regarding communication, efficiency, and multi-tasking. This is the third issue I've had with this pharmacy, and will be taking my whole family's business elsewhere. Appalling.

The Pharmacy at the Damariscotta store is horrible! Long waits, prescriptions take several days to fill. We get phone calls telling us our pills are ready, get there, wait in a ridiculously long line only to find out they can’t find it! The people that work there are not to blame, it’s that they are under staffed big time. I’m trying to contact whoever is in charge of this pharmacy but I can’t find any contact information. I’d switch to Walgreens down the street but they are just as bad and the store is filthy. We need a new and better option in our town.
