Best pieces and best owners! They could not have been nicer and more helpful. Will definitely be back.

This place! We LOVED meeting and chatting with Miriam Buckley proprietor. Full of knowledge about Damariscotta and her lovely wares. Her husband is talented at restoring antiques and breathing new life into them. The chairs were 30% off and I wanted them all. Unfortunately they wouldn't fit in my checked bag. Her McCoy pieces were plenty and in pristine shape. Love the way she had them displayed by color. I saw a table that was actually made in the 1700s! When I move to Damariscotta one day, I plan to become best friends with the Buckleys. You must visit.

Small, overpriced, and creepy conversation with the owner. I've been to many antiques stores and this was one of the worst, unless you want to spend 2,000 dollars for a small table

He is a wonderful Wood restorer and she has a great eye. In a town crammed with antique shops this one stands out. A few great old pieces. Good value for great work.

A shop with beautifully restored antique furniture, ready to use in your home. If you would love a piece of antique furniture, but are put off by the thought of a piece with sticky drawers & doors, marred finishes and off smells, this is the shop for you. Each piece is lovingly restored and ready to use. The furniture looks as close to new condition as antique furniture can get and all drawers and doors open easily & smell only of wood & polish. The owner restores furniture in n a workshop below the antique gallery, so ask about the impressive restoration process. Designers, here's a place to bring your clients on a shopping trip! Advice: If you think the prices are high, remember what you would pay for a new piece of furniture from Restoration Hardware. And these pieces are prettier and made of better wood! I love to refinish furniture, but my efforts pale in comparison to the workmanship on display in this store. A must visit store for antique buffs and furniture shoppers!

We spent the better part of the day in the Damariscotta/Bristol area looking for a couple of specific pieces. The shops in the area run the gamut, as do the owners (aloof, creepy, uppity, extra terrestrial) - I'm convinced that one lady running another shop thought she was Mrs. Thurston Howell III. The couple that run Damarine however were really cool and normal. The husband makes custom furniture in his attached shop (his wife sent me in there to talk to him while she and my wife talked.) The tables he made were stunning, and I think he does custom jobs - from what I saw the prices on his work were reasonable given the quality. We didn't see much much at all in terms of junk in here - they seemed to be sort of picky in what they put out for sale. Antique prices were in reasonable and in-line with most of the other shops in the area. We didn't end up buying anything from them, as we had recently just purchased a new kitchen table - we were kind of bummed because after seeing the stuff he made we liked his a lot better. We probably hung out for 20 minutes just chatting with the couple. We visited in the summer - I'm not sure if they are open in the off season, but if they are we'll be stopping back in.
