“Our dogs have been patients at CAC for six years and we’ve always had a positive experience - first with Dr Lucy and now with Dr Lily. The staff is caring and thorough. The facility is clean and welcoming.”

“I have taken all my dogs over the years to Westside Animal Hosiptal. At Westside, they try to schedule needed appts as soon as they can, as well as routine appts that accommodate people whose work schedules impact when they are able to bring the pets”

“I really can't give enough positive accolades to this veterinary practice. every single individual/practitioner that my husband and i have encountered over the 30+ years we've been clients has been exceptional. Most recently, they met with a complete suspension of judgement when i demonstrated irresponsible behavior that resulted in severe consequences for my puppies. Luckily, we have all come through the episode unscathed and well cared for.I appreciate this practice so much and knowing that they are in our corner is a true source of comfort for me.”

“I have a 9year old dog and a 4 year old cat and have been going to Casco Bay Veterinary for their care since I adopted both of them a few years ago… I have nothing but praise for their care, compassion, knowledge and treatment of my beloved fur babies… from nail trimming to a torn ACL where they referred me to MVMC in Scarborough to their orthopedic surgeon who was wonderful!! I love how they both work directly with my TRUPANION Pet Insurance and has been a blessing.”

“We are new to a pownal and had to make the difficult decision to help our dog cross the rainbow bridge .We happen to live close to this clinic and set our appointment here. The amount of care and compassion they showed to our dog and my husband at the appointment brought so much comfort at such a difficult time.”

“It was very nice to see different animals. The only downfall is I wish they had strollers or wagons to rent. My son was absent exhausting from walking. Other than that it was fun”

“Recently we needed to change veterinarians and we are SO GLAD we did. Dr. Tippy and their staff are so kind, knowledgeable, and they explained medical conditions, diagnoses and after care so that it was very easy for us to understand. Their communication is EXCELLENT, texting and calling the next day to check and see how Maggie was doing and also reviewed what we should be looking for in case she had to go back in. She went back 2 days later ( dx diabetes) to have a blood draw and again they texted with the results and told us our next steps. Professional, intelligent, experienced, caring and excellent table side manner. Definitely recommend.”

“I can’t thank Dr. Bailey enough for being such an amazingly wonderful vet to my sweet darling, Abigail. Abby first met Dr. Bailey when she worked at Dehler Animal Clinic, and followed her over to Stoneledge Animal hospital. My sweet darling was a few weeks shy of 17 years old when it was her time to cross the rainbow bridge this past Monday. My boo boo bear, my babe, my whole world. Dr. Bailey was so professional and gentle with her in her final moments as was the technicians. I can’t thank them enough for the support. They allowed us as much time as we wanted with her. Grieving has been so hard, but I’ll forever be grateful that Dr. Bailey was the one to help her cross over, Abby wouldn’t have wanted any other vet.”

“I'm very thankful for everyone here! My parrot's usual vet is on leave and after an emergency call to Yarmouth Veterinary Center, they were able to see her the same day through their drop-off services. The prices and care were all very reasonable and I didn't feel like I was being upsold or misled at all. All of the staff I spoke to were very kind and understanding and my parrot received great care (and is on the mend)!”

“I have to admit that at first, I was skeptical. The building is small and in need of some work. But, that was my superficial side talking. Do not let the outside fool you. I had a terrific experience with my cat, TJ. She was severely bloated in her abdomen and I was sure she was going to need either surgery or euthanasia. Having very little money for such expenses, I was so apprehensive about taking her to the vet, though I know she needed it badly. (My cousins, bless their hearts, pitched in to help with the cost). The first time I went, the young lady at the desk couldn't be more sweet. Wonderful personality that shines. The second time, the receptionist wasn't quite as warm, but she wasn't rude or unpleasant, either. The techs were terrific, their kindness and caring was very evident. I met the vet, Dr. Friel, only the first visit, but he was nice and respected TJ's particular quirks....such as not liking being handled. He gave her a quick check up and suggested we follow up that week with X-Rays to see what was going on. As I was leaving the first visit, I informed the receptionist my cousins would be calling in the payment information. They live out of the area. Most vet clinics would probably not accept that type of payment arrangement or they'd likely make us wait until payment had been processed before letting us leave, but the lady just smiled, said "Ok, you're all set" and let us leave! I was astounded! My family called in the payment immediately, but the fact that they trusted us with such a crucial aspect of their work was mind blowing to me, and so very much appreciated. The cost was my biggest worry and whether or not I could pay, if they would work with me, etc. They were incredibly flexible like that, and that is a RARE find in any industry. I definitely followed up 3 days later for her X-Rays. I had to leave my cat there for about 3 or 4 hours; the dr. had patients and would attend to her in between them. It was hard leaving my baby, but I knew she'd be in good hands. Around noon, I called them for an update. I spoke to a tech and also got a call from the doctor himself. The news was fairly positive, no tumors, nothing immediately life threatening. He explained, to the best of his knowledge, what he thought was going on, and told me he had performed a procedure to drain a good portion of the fluid from my baby's belly. Given her age, he said this would likely be an ongoing problem that she may not fully bounce back from, but so long as the fluid didn't go to her lungs, she could live for quite awhile. Never have my shoulders felt so light; I could've jumped for joy! Having said all that, he told us we were good to go and we went and picked her up. She had behaved so well, I was so impressed, given her kind of grouchy nature sometimes. She was a bit groggy and off balance for the first day due to the sedative, but within 3 days, she was up again and walking and was comfortable for the first time in almost 3 months. I was so delirious with happiness! She was put on a medication that would help drain the remainder of the fluid. It cost $9. Not bad when you consider how much Chewy and the others charge for RX meds. He gave her just the right med, because she's taking it without issue (she's notoriously impossible to medicate), and it's doing its job. The remaining bloat is nearly gone entirely. Granted, I know her condition is chronic and that it will be back. He couldn't tell us what caused it. But, at least I know have a place I can take her where her needs and her well being are the priority, and not just the $$$. That in itself means the world to me. I have a balance still, it came to about $600 for everything, including the sedation and procedure. That's actually on the low end considering all that they did for her. I was very surprised at how affordable it was. I did not have to pay my entire balance that day. My cousins again paid what they could, and I told them come the 3rd, I would be making a payment on the balanc”

“Had the best experience here. Brought my cat here as a kitten 8 years ago for yearly visits and they were always kind. Recently, I brought her in due to her acting different and they found a tumor in her belly. They were supportive and helpful from the second we found out my kitty was sick. They let me know of all my options and reassured me I was making the best decisions. I know a lot of vets will tell you things to do that will benefit them but the vets here did not. They all are cat lovers and every decision I made, they told me that they would have done the same thing. They were available via email/phone with any questions and concerns the last 3 weeks penelope was alive. When we made the decision to put her down, they allowed us the time and space we needed. They walked us through the whole process and we’re so helpful and kind. It was the hardest month of my life and I am so thankful for their kindness. Highly recommend !”

“The waits are pretty long and the fees are expensive, but they saved my kitty's life. After our regular vet misdiagnosed her, we brought my sweet middle-aged cat here where they brought her back to health. Now, just a few days after she was about to die, she's at home and playing with her toys. She wouldn't be alive without them. I will say, they need more vets. From what I've come to understand, they may only have one actual vet there at a time, and vets that do specific testing are only there on certain days, so it may take hours to days to truly find what's wrong with your animal. Still, they didn't push us into surgeries do have official diagnoses. When it was pretty clear what was going on, they just treat the animals for that instead of trying to pressure owners into the extra testing. The fees are crazy expensive. We couldn't really afford it, but having my precious angel home and on the road to health is worth it. So, if you can't get into your regular vets and are having an emergency, from my family's experience, your animal is in good hands.”
