I adopted a cat from them and the experience was great, and I love my new cat. The adoption process was thorough enough to be sure the cats are going to a good home, but it was also simple and quickly processed. They were very helpful and it was hard to choose a cat since there were so many cute and sweet cats. They had free roam rooms and the cats were well cared for and healthy.

So glad to have adopted my 2nd cat from HART. It is a wonderful facility for cats until they get their forever home. We will be celebrating Adley's 3rd birthday tomorrow (her 1st in her forever home). She is such a lovebug & has made my life so muchhappier since my previous cat passed away in August.

Just took our Annie girl home yesterday and we couldn’t be more in love with her. The transition home was a breeze and Annie has truly not stopped purring since she arrived. It was the perfect match for us and more importantly Annie is so comfortable and contented here! The staff at HART were incredible and the process smooth. A very special place that I will recommend to everyone.

An animal shelter that truly has the animals well-being at heart. When I got into a little bit of trouble with some pregnant females this was the only shelter willing to help me. I can't say enough about them.

Hart is very special. They treat their cats like family, and try very diligently to make the latest rescues comfortable knowing the felines will be stressed leaving their homes. Thank you all for keeping the wonderful felines happy. Xoxoxo Gale

I got both of my cats here. The staff is so friendly and helpful! They make sure all of your questions are answered and that you get plenty of time to hang out with the kitties to find your perfect match. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Such a great team of dedicated folks! We adopted two kittens. We loved that kittens were cared for in foster homes before adopting. Senior cats are lovely and loved as well. Good work being done here!

Found this beautiful and loving cat at HART. The shelter is amazing ! Cats walk freely around in nice clean rooms . Volunteer staff spent 2 hours with me answering questions about any cat that showed interest in me . They sent Gidget and I home with everything we needed . Gidget loves her new home and we sure got the perfect luv ! I highly recommend them !

Agree with other recent reviews, all of the staff there are great, but Andy who is an operations director is snide and hyper judgmental. I can appreciate that they see a lot of people of different stripes but I really felt prejudiced against. He pretty much called me a liar about my use of vaccines and veterinary care for my prior cats, but was not interested in looking them up under the correct name, my wife’s. Had I known that’s what he wanted to do, I would have started with that name, but he didn’t communicate, just denied my application that was initially approved. I had to follow up in person to figure out what had happened. Doing that to me is one thing but we had selected a cat and my child was very hurt. He asked unanswerable questions like “how do we know this cat will never escape your house” but was not interested in discussing the cat’s history as to why it wanted to run away from its prior house. Something about living in a basement??, but no details beyond that. He simply didn’t know and it didn’t fit his apparent narrative that I was a dirtbag pet owner. Didn’t seem interested in the cat’s mental and emotional history, just the physical. Sad that this cat missed out on an excellent home with an excellent family where it could bond. The cat I’m looking to replace lived for nearly 19 years and was happy, healthy, never injured, and never sick. I will not accept pet shaming from someone like Andy.
