What a horrible Business. Went downhill fast!

The Pear trees that I received from Fedco are of extremely poor quality. Pruned improperly. A ton of frost damage from the past year and not to mention the trees I received were covered in Aphids. I would definitely not ever recommend purchasing fruit trees from Fedco. Plenty of other reputable quality nurseries out there.

I'm new to organic farming and was very pleased with the assistance I received for selecting the right products for my apple orchard. The staff was friendly and the selection huge.Update May 2023: Fedco is better than ever. Great product selections with some being improved and the same knowledge staff that know their business. Their advice is most helpful.

Fedco Tree division is so disrespectful and provide such poor quality trees. I would never shop here again. Very frustrating.

High quality ag products for the northern farmers and gardener at excellent prices. Seasonal service peaks in the Spring but can be spotty outside the growing season.

Fedco is my hero. Fedco wears a cape and battles multinational agrochemical misguided guys one seed pack at a time.

Fedco was unable to provide an apple tree that I had ordered late in the spring (they were out of stock and their online system wasn't reflecting that). They reached out and helped advise me on a replacement variety, and gave me honest feedback about what would or wouldn't work based on what they knew of my growing area (which isn't local to them). When I lamented being unable to choose one tree they said may not work, they provided one to me as a trial--amazing customer service. The trees have survived so far (hasn't been a full year yet) but everything showed up in good shape and it's survived some intense deer pressure, which is everything I could ask for. I'll order from Fedco again.

Fedco provides consistently good quality and price for seeds and plants. The warehouse sales, which I hope resume someday, always are lots of fun and great bargain finds. My yard is full of Fedco!

Honestly, I'm very disappointed i have to write this negative review. I consider myself a long time customer of fed-co considering I've been shopping here for almost 10 years. I always get my supplements here and really enjoy their selection... today I made the 45 minute drive to pick up some corn seed and was disappointed to find that fed-co hasn't started letting customers in to pick out their seeds, so the woman working left me outside in 95 degrees to sort through the catalog (fine, I like fed-co so I put up with it)... then after I'm trying to rush and pick out my corn seeds in the blistering heat the lady has the audacity to say she needs to get to the post office! while she's standing in the air conditioned warehouse!.. so I rush and pick out 2 types of corn that I think will work for me, then I get back into my car and while reading the type of corn she got me I find out it can't be planted within 300' of other corn types! I'm kinda ticked off and really I didn't expect fed-co to feed into the authoritarian rule and nonsensical rules that endanger public health rather than secure it. I could have got a damn heat stroke in the amount of time this lady left me outside in the heat. I'm extremely disappointed and fed-co is damn lucky I know that lady doesn't represent their soil supplement quality!

I recently applied here and was told I wasn't a good fit for the job I had applied for, even though my retail sales experience was 3 years or so more than what the job was looking for..

I've ordered for years, love their selections and the catalog of course. Any issues I've had, they have been very responsive. While they don't have everything I'm looking for, they're always, always my first stop for seed orders. Oh also, fedco is usually cheaper than the rest!

EDIT: rootstock apple tree and potatoes ordered from fedco are not growing. We have multiple apple trees and potato patches from other companies for side by side comparison and it’s looking like fedco dropped them ball.We Paid Feb 2nd only to have a bulk piece of our order (100lbs magic molly potatoes, $199) double sold, now not in stock and unable to ship.No updated invoice sent or shipping charge changed or mention of it the missing items until the day of delivery. This was our first time ordering with Fedco and I’ll don’t think we will be dealing with them again. If you’re planning on having something to plant that you fully paid for 3 months ahead, try Johnnys!
