We did a Google search for golf courses, in the area. Boy, am I glad that we did!Sawmill Woods is a great 9 hole course. As other posters have mentioned, it has narrow fairways. But, this course is a lot of fun.The owner and her son are great to meet. One note: They only take cash!!

In 70 years of playing this game, this course ranks near the top of the best 9-hole tracks I’ve played.

Absolutely gorgeous land. ? Definitely worth a visit. The staff is SO nice. The course is beautiful. Guests are helpful and in good spirits. Owner is amazing. Definitely coming back as much as we can! We came to check it out on a work day and we work a LOT, so it was definitely a needed break. Fell in love with the views.

The best course around. Many challenges. Helps your game improve. Great pro there to help give lessons and always a club available to step up your game of golf. Try em before you buy em. Love their motto. Golf for the health and fun of it. Best golf course in Maine. Ladies leagues. Men’s leagues. Proshop lessons. And close to greater Bangor area.

Had a great time playing at this fun little course. The fairways are tight and require accuracy but that's part of the fun. My only gripe is that they do not take card so make sure you bring cash. But I found the course affordable fun and easy to walk.

5 stars for value for money. At times some tight fairways, getting the read on some of the greens is tricky, so a few challenges to this picturesque 9 hole course. The staff were really friendly and in general the course was in good condition (considering it was the start of the season). Well worth the drive from Bangor.

Played last week and will certainly play again. Challenging but fun course with narrow fairways. Just remember to bring cash as they don't accept card payments.

Awesome course cut into the backwoods of ME. Keeps you honest! Tight fairways, and challenging greens. Will definitely be playing there again.

Good price. Holes 6-9 were honestly REALLY good, the greens were pretty fairly clear. Amazing view on a pair of holes. However the first 5 holes greens are in REALLY rough shape, they need some work and it would be a lot better. The cost was only $25 a piece for 18 w cart. Better than hampden for sure, idk if I'd make the trip out again though. If the greens were a bit better than I would. Also it was cash only, fortunately I always bring a lot of cash to courses in case because the two others brought cards and they couldn't take it. Wouldve been a huge bummer to have driven 30 minutes or so for nothing. So two things I guess, better greens and card readers lol.
