My car broke down during an ice storm and Dutch Gap Auto came to the rescue! The tow truck driver was very efficient and friendly. We really appreciated the help when few tow truck drivers were on the road during the storm.

Would never take anything to these people. Had a mini van that needed one rear wheel bearing that went bad, when I picked up the van he said he replaced all the rear wheel bearings, which I didn't give him permission to do, a week later the bearing he put in went bad, so I replaced it and checked all the other bearings and none of them were actually changed, but he charged me for them. So I put all new ones in myself. Never had a problem with them again. This was some years ago

Dutch Gap Auto is a small town shop with small town folks who do everything they can to help you awesome people and but they do still have a business to run lol people are awesome but I might be partial they are in my hometown!

Typical central Maine "mom and pop" shop. Will screw over anyone to make a quick buck. Don't let these people tow your car on a Friday or the weekend . They won't release your vehicle til Monday even though the owner's live RIGHT next door. They also charge you a stupid amount. These people are crooks.Service: Car towing

This was who AAA sent out to change a flat tire! It took him over an hour to get there only to not be able to change the tire because he didnt have a tool! He just told us there was nothing he could do? We ended up driving it across the street to Collin's on a flat to get the tire fixed! No special tools were needed and Collins had the tire off fixed and put back on in less then 5 minutes. Horrible experience. I filed a formal complaint with AAA . Who in the hell shows up to change a tire without the tools to change the tire. Worst experience ever!!Do not reccomend!!Service: Tire change

My experience w/ Dutch Gap Auto was awful and dishonest to say the least. I requested a tow service through AAA and Dutch Gap Auto was the independent contractor that took the request. Instead of sending a tow truck they sent a technician with a jump starter pack to try to jump start my car to no success. I already knew a jump start wouldn't work bc another technician tried it the day earlier. Upon asking the technician (who failed to jump start my car) why he was sent as opposed to the tow truck I requested, he said "It's too expensive. We usually send someone to jump start instead of a tow truck because AAA doesn't pay us enough for towing. I'm leaving. Put in another request." Basically he's saying Dutch Gap Auto plays by their own rules and doesn't send a tow truck when a tow truck is requested. It was a complete waste of my time & 1 of my 4 free AAA service calls and I was left stranded on the side of a dangerous, highly trafficked road. I had to put in another AAA tow truck request and specifically asked they not send Dutch Gap Auto. I called Dutch Gap's office number and the lady said the same thing, "AAA doesn't pay us anything to tow." Then why would you accept an AAA tow truck service request and dishonestly send a non-tow truck to fulfill it? She also suggested I pay out of pocket to tow my car for $265 and ask AAA to reimburse me. I called Farmington Towing and they quoted me $125. Eventually hours dangerously stranded later, a tow truck from Clinton via AAA came to rescue me.

I had two Dutch Gap Auto technicians come out to Farmington to me via AAA for losing my only key and locking myself out of my truck. They were very friendly, helpful, and timely, and they towed my truck from Farmington to Pittsfield for me. The lady in the office also called to give me updates on when I should expect the tow truck when AAA did not update me. I appreciate their service!Services: Car lockouts
