They will lock you out of your storage unit if you're only a week late on your payment. I could understand doing that if someone didn't pay for a couple months, but keeping you out of your unit for only being a week late is pretty ridiculous. Most of us who are living paycheck to paycheck are going to find ourselves being late on our bill from time to time because life happens and not to mention, the cost of living is expensive enough as it is. I'm fine with paying a late fee if I have to, but preventing me from having access to my belongings is completely uncalled for. I will be looking for a new storage unit because not only is this ridiculous, but the units themselves are run down and the door latches are very rusted, which makes them difficult to lock up at times and we've also found signs that mice have been coming into our unit through a hole in the corner. I don't know if all of their locations are like this, but this one in particular definitely needs improvement!

Have a 4 bedroom place I'm storing away. Filled the first unit and needed a 2nd. I reserved the 2nd one over the phone, told them I wanted a unit as close to the 1st as I could get so things could be sorted a bit differently. They paid no attention to what I said and gave me a unit that is a 30 or so second drive away from the first. This obviously helps 0% with the sorting idea. None of this storage is secure as the gate has been broken for some time and the entire place has maybe 3 security lights.

I would like to start by saying the store manager is amazing. He is was nice and helpfully. But the actual units are falling apart I mean one unit was so badly damaged I could see into someone else's fully locked unit. Also no where in any of the lease or website does it state that yiu take care of the elements like snow and ice in frount of the unit. I have never head of anything like this for a storage unit. Lastly you advertised a well lit unit and a security gate. There was neither of these things.

Reserved and rented space online. Very easy and fast. Very reasonable rates and discount for renting online. Unit was clean and welcome packet was inside with info and the lock that I purchased. Friendly staff. So far, so good!

Mr Fox is a lovely, gracious person who treated us with respect. He had a unit for us at a great price. Michelle set up our account, was helpful, knowledgeable and very nice. This is a solid establishment who we trust. We feel secure with our items stored at Self-Storage of Maine.

I used this storage location for 3 months. Using 2 units. When I cleared my belongings out EVERYTHING had mold on it. My couch, my dining room table, blankets that were in totes, chairs, clothes, toy bins etc. the amount of mouse droppings in and on my items was disturbing. Most items needed to be thrown, I salvaged a few. Lady who runs the place is extremely difficult to get ahold of. Would 100% not recommend using this location.

I have known Kathleen for years. She has been like family to me over the years renting at self storage. She is very honest when I drop my payment of she has my receipt for me the next month when I make my next payment. I would highly keep her as an employee
