Wanted to go for a picnic and a local recommended this spot for sandwiches. Made to order, lots of choices, decent sized, reasonable prices. Also got drinks & chips, seemed like it generally was well-stocked with a wide range of groceries for such a small store.

Awesome pizza, tons of beer + wine, and everything else you need. They have it all. Prices are fair all around. Awesome staff that's always nice to the kids. Even if you think they won't have something, I bet they do!

My go-to place for lunch when my pantry is spare; when I'm headed out on a road trip; if I'm getting 'hangry' and MUST EAT NOW!. . .Then T&C is my first destination. Featuring a large choice of breads, fillings, condiments, hot or cold; eat outside on a lobster trap or take down to the dock. Lots and lots of beverages available, as well as pre-made cold salads. AND. . .these very pleasant and cheerful folks will build you a terrific pizza to take home to share (or not). If you're going to be here for an extended stay and CAN'T BEAR not to have the news from a large, urban place, you can get a newspaper from T&C, as well. (But the "Castine Patriot" has all the good news -- including 'boat for sale' ads.

Overall very friendly, selection is ok. There pizza they bake on site is good quality my only gripe is look them up on Google and the store hours say there open till 9pm on Fridays but I get there a 8:50pm its raining hard, lights are off and the only reason I went out is for my pregnant wife and now she's mad at me when I get back. I'm guessing they close at 8pm now but the hours haven't been updated online

We ordered pizza and breadsticks for takeout. The store is small with a good mixture of products, a good selection of wine and the deli section. Price wise, I noticed a small mark up on wine but generally, $1-2, which is decent. The large pizza and garlic breadsticks were delicious- the crust made the pie. There were only two of us and sadly, we couldn't finish either. Even with leftover pizza in the morning, we were unable to eat it all. A word to the wise- we probably had enough food for four adults so if there are two of you, like us, go medium.
