I am delighted for the opportunity to comment on the professionalism and thoroughness of our real estate agent Lois O’Connor and her daughter Jennifer. My family had owned vacation property in Cape Cod, MA for more than sixty-five years. In 2022, despite all the memories we have gathered over the years, my wife and I made the sad decision to sell since opportunities to use the property were declining as family members moved away and the condition of our cottage had deteriorated significantly. We had a beautiful location on a bluff overlooking a freshwater lake.We decided to look for replacement property closer to our permanent residence in Southern New Hampshire. We were fortunate to find many offerings through the Sunset Lakes Real Estate website which Lois maintains. We were impressed with her detailed knowledge of properties in both New Hampshire and Maine, and ability to point out important issues related to properties in which we were interested. Lake water quality varies significantly throughout the region, and she was able to protect us from making a purchase we would regret over time. She was particularly helpful in defining what property would be best for us as an older couple. In the end we avoided properties that looked enticing but would require costly renovations or were too challenging for us to take on. We visited dozens of properties, but we never felt pressured to decide. It was obvious that first and foremost, she wanted what was best for us.We strongly believe that using Lois and Jennifer in any real estate transaction would be a wise choice for someone looking to minimize the trauma of buying and selling real estate.

I contacted Lois after having spoken to her several years prior. She found me a property in a difficult market and then worked through a complicated contract negotiation to closing. Along the way, she interfaced with contractors and trades in order to get details for bringing property up to speed after a period of neglect. A great communicator with a wealth of information as well as a savvy business person, I wholeheartedly recommend Lois and would work with her again.

Lois and Jennifer recently represented us in our purchase of a home on Frye Island. Lois’ knowledge, experience, and access to contractors allowed us to overcome some tough challenges with the property. Not only are they capable and responsive, Lois and Jen are nice people. Lois helped my wife and I find a lake house that fit all of our needs. She was very patient with us as we searched all summer -- many homes all over central and western Maine. Lois was fairly responsive to both email and especially text. If we ever want to sell and/or move to another lake home in Maine, we will definitely give Lois a ring!

I wish there was an option to give many more stars. Lois and Jennifer were AMAZING! They were attentive, very reliable, patient with my many many questions, thorough and so much more. They never made me feel d*** for asking something and when they didn't know the answer they tracked it down for me quickly. They went above and beyond at every turn from bringing me local delicious sandwiches from their favorite place to volunteering to drive out of their way to pickup Spectrum equipment. I can't say enough nice things about them and I am a pretty harsh judge of character. They are the epitome of true professionals but better than that they are extremely caring people who want to make things easier for their customers at every turn.

It has been a pleasure working with Lois and Jennifer at Sunset Lakes Real Estate. They brought the right touch to sell our house. Always friendly and quick to respond to any concerns that arose during the showing process. We think she brought the right family to purchase and also be our neighbors. They were very respectful of our needs as we were living in the house while it was being shown. Lois would always let us know when the showing was done so that we could return home.
