“I generally only shop here 3-4 times a year. An each time I’ve come I grab many bird related pieces.. The shop is beautifully decorated and organized with great quality pieces of goods. I’m always amazed how much they can place each area picture perfectly. The staff is very helpful… they have bargains and sales often (most the time after I’ve already visited) a you also order online or call an order. You won’t be disappointed by any means..”

“My mom and I were here this last Thursday and she took ill (she's 82yr). The staff stepped up and helped her like she was their own mother. There aren't enough positive words to say about their kindness and caring. Thank you so much, it will never be forgotten.

“Stopped in with my partner on our trip to Maine a few weeks ago. The customer service was amazing which seemed hard to come by with our experience at other stores in the area . Shayna helped us out find a gift for my parents. She immediately found something in my price range. She wasn’t pushy at all and had a great sense of humor. Even my partner found something for the house the day before . The gift shop was nice cause everything was original and not the tacky stuff they sell at 90% of the gift shops you go to. If you are going to Maine you must stop in here for not only the great selection but also to support a friendly small business!”

I recently got my mom the Women Painting Women book for Mothers Day - a collection of female artists and their female subjects. “Wandering around Portsmouth after lunch, my friend and I wandered into this store because she loves all things print-related. Me, not so much unless I'm in need of something, but I tagged along. So glad I did! This is a cute little store with lots of things to catch the eye. Not just the obvious--print services, cards, stationery, etc.--but also things like recyclable bags and other gifty items. I walked out of there with a small size (there was a large variety of bags for different uses) Baggu reclyclable bag I can fold up and pop into my purse for use when I need it. Handy for carrying leftovers from restaurants, quick trips to CVS/Walgreens or other places where you just want a couple of things. In fact it would have been handy for my trip to Gus & Ruby! Next time......”

“Awesome shop for gifts and souvenirs. A great hidden gem for salts, lotions, hand scrubs, bath bombs and more. Their hand cream is perfectly moisturizing and not oily, and has been great for my dry skin. I am definitely considering ordering more online once I run out.”

You can purchase a magnet, garden ornament, perfume, painting, beautiful place set, clothes, shoes etc. The selections are endless and IMO definitely has a uniqueness to it that I can’t quite explain maybe the quality. I purchased a cute garden keepsake to take home and can’t wait to bring a Ogunquit back with me.”
“Very nice store. Bought a pewter lamp for wifes 50th birthday party. Whomever I dealt with was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and all around awesome experience. I like to spend my $ on local businesses and I'm not from the area but this place is a gem. Keep up great work!Xmas creeping up and wife would like matching on other side of fireplace. Back to store I imagine.Went back this weekend and grabbed second pewter lamp. Still phenomenal service from different clerk.”

“Such a great shop in town, with lovely owners. Had a long conversation with them, he's from Ireland with the gift of gab. We talked about all the great places to visit in Ireland and a few of the items in the store. Framed photos were so beautiful and loved the older antiques of Guinness. We bought a few shirts and other authentic Irish items. Will definitely be back because of how friendly they are.”
“Ten Thousand Villages recently moved around the corner from its previous location. Their space is not as congested as it used to be, which allows the customer to really focus on each display. I like their jewelry, bags, tableware, basketry, wooden crafts, textiles, and lots of odds and ends, like windchimes, cloth flowers, and wall art.”

“I really want to thank you awesome ladies for showing me the Iron Orchid transfers and spending so much time helping me decide which package I wanted and showing me all the designs and creations they'd made! We made it back to Austin. TX last night, and today I transformed an old wooden cabinet. I had already painted it turquoise, and after an afternoon of fun "arting," I have a piece worthy of the maximalist bohemian furniture boards I drool over on Pinterest. Your kindness and assistance made my visit to your beautiful shop such a pleasant experience!”
