“I'm a little apprehensive to give such a positive review of this store for fear of ruining one of my favorites elements of it- it's hardly ever packed!! Don't get me wrong, people surely shop here, but it never feels like it's overly crowded like some of the other Hannaford locations in the area can. The store is always very clean and it has several self checkout registers. I actually drive past the Millcreek store to go over here because it's worth it to me.”

“I scheduled a vaccination at this Hannaford. The pharmacy technician and pharmacist were very nice and kind. The pharmacist explained everything that I needed to know about the vaccine. She prepared me for the actual shot. I was grateful for that. Almost 24 hours later, I have a few side effects, which she also explained to me. I will be going back there to have the follow-up shot.”

“Really impressed with this Hannaford. As a Portland area person, of course my first thought of Hannaford is Forest Ave - but since my office moved over to Riverside, I've frequented this Hannaford quite a bit. Sure, their selection is smaller - like, a lot smaller - than Forest Ave, but what they lack in selection they make up for in customer service. The folks at the deli are fabulous, and through all this virus craziness, they've been very clearly diligent about cleaning/sanitizing/ensuring their customers feel they are doing their due diligence. I went through a checkout the other day and the cashier was great - switched gloves between customers, used sanitizer - she was friendly and gracious when I apologized I even had to be there to get anything!! They've got a hot bar, salad bar, bakery, and produce - what else do you need?! They also have a great selection of Amy's organic frozen meals, which is my go-to. Really fab location.”

He went above and beyond for me, more than anyone ever has, in answering my questions about Walgreens Cash, online orders, bag fees (charged $0.20 when I did not request or use any bags at all!), product stock, receipts not printing (only getting digital receipts!). And so many other things. He helped me place pickup orders for a product I was trying to buy where there was only 1 in stock at every Walgreens in the area, even though the sales required purchasing at least 4 in one transaction. Hunter gave me such stellar customer service, I never want to shop at a different Walgreens. He was so sweet, friendly, kind, ENDLESSLY PATIENT, and super professional. Please give this man a raise!!! He deserves it for all he puts up with, and he does this always with a smile and a sense of humor. “I cannot believe people give 1 star for needing a damn restroom. Seriously, I'm sure the type is called the paying customer...right. Honestly I gave 4 stars here because the items I use like to show up and suddenly disappear. Also, there's not much reasonably priced (at every location). Though the store clerks here are never very happy and some are apparently looking for a girlfriend, the pharmacy is not like this and they are professionals. I give the people at the pharmacy dept. 5 stars. The male pharmacist is extremely helpful and the young lady, Marlene, who is a pharmacist technician is most helpful, too. She and the other guy, (who wears the awesome shoes, perhaps Nick?) go out of their way to make things right. All with wonderful attitudes. All of these people at the pharmacy are amazing and they exceed in giving a satisfying experience from good customer service they provide. As far as shopping here, I am not a fan. Trader Joe's has better options for much of what is offered here and it's right next door. Not a great location for a Walgreen's is my opinion. Prices are high and there isn't much for folks who are vegan nor for those who like to shop conscious, green and ethical.”

“I'm grateful that this pharmacy got my medications transferred from another Walgreens much faster than I was told. They were very busy, and I appreciate that they were open on the weekends. It only took a half hour from making the call to picking up the meds, yet most of that time was waiting in the phone queue, which is not the fault of the pharmacist or technicians. It is Walgreens fault for understaffing. I appreciate the people, but not the corporation.”

“Once upon a time long long ago, I started using Osco Pharm Northgate due to the convenience of the location. Life changes and now it is no longer a convenient location for me as I can count 4 other pharmacies I drive by to get to Shaws Notthgate Pharmacy. The excellent 10 star service I receive from Tara ( and a Very Big Welcome Back to you Tara) Truman, Robin and the rest of the stafff will continue to keep me driving past the other 4 Pharmacies. The staff there are genuinely caring, helpful, thoughtful, and always happy to see you, no matter the stressful working environment they may sometimes be under at the moment. They are the friendliest pharmacists I have ever met and have many times gone above and beyond for me when they clearly didn’t have to, but did for the very reasons that I can say “I love my pharmacists” at Shaws Northgate.”
