Mail delivery has been sporadic, to say the least. I understand they have staffing issues, but I don't understand why they are not rotating routes so we can get delivery at least every other day. It's been four days since I've gotten mail and I am waiting for things for my business.

Perhaps if the Camden Post Office saw fit to move its prepaid package box to a more accessible place that is not in the way of people standing in line it would be a lot more efficient. Currently the policy is to make people with pre-paid, pre-labeled ready-to-go packages stand in line with everyone who needs help from a counter clerk. This not only extends the wait time for everybody in this small, sometimes very crowded and airless space, it also exposes everyone needlessly to so many people, some of whom aren't wearing a proper mask (coats pulled up over face) or who are wearing masks below their nose (this includes postal employees). No other post office on the coast of Maine requires people to wait in line for someone at the counter to get to personally take their pre-paid, pre-labeled package and dump it in the package box at the end of the counter.

Friendly and helpful but they don't seem to be able to give cash.back with debit card purchase like other p.o.

Nice location for a post office. Good service and nice architect for the building.

After we bought the box at the Rockland post office we came home and put it together. Alan had gone to the Camden post office and picked up a couple of large Priority Mail boxes this morning, but they were too small for our purposes so we were going to return them when we came to mail our box. We put our new sweatshirts and t-shirts in, nestled the dish among them, put in more clothing and some chargers off to the side and topped off the whole thing w/ our accumulated paper bags, which we can use for recycling newspapers at home. I addressed it, we sealed it and, since we had time, drove to the Camden post office on the assumption that it will be busier tomorrow (Saturday), when it's open only from 9am-noon. We parked in front. Alan carried the box to be mailed while I carried the two boxes to be returned. He directed me to where they were stored and went right to a clerk who was available to help him. After I put the boxes away I joined him at the counter. We had it marked fragile and chose the slowest, cheapest rate since we're in no hurry. It was almost 15 pounds and came to $46 and change. That's about what we were charged for sending the ceramic fish from the gallery in Woods Hole. It would have been more economical if we had taken it ourselves and just put it in one of the large Priority Mail boxes, as well as it had been wrapped. No matter. Maybe we'll remember next time. The clerk who helped us was very personable and again we were in and out quickly.
