This shelter has been an amazing part of the community for years and years, we got all 3 of our cats from them, and the new(ish) facility is great! Very clean, staff is wonderful and the animals are happy ?

We adopted Mocha and Chase about a month ago. We could not love them more!! Bit of a rough start with chase who ended up at the ER vet the day after we got him, but they are both good to go now and loved so much!!

Unfortunately the reason for my visit wasn’t a pleasant one but then again it never is when you have to put a family pet down. However their service was great and they were very kind and compassionate

Midcoast Humane cares and finds homes for nearly 3,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals in a typical year. We service 39 Maine municipalities, from Falmouth to Somerville, an area that spans 1,000 miles.
