Most all associates there are friendly and very helpful. Besides that one lady at customer service desk ( Liz ), she is extremely rude, she doesn't even bother to try helping, she works extremely slow. Been to this store multiple times, first time I thought she may be having a bad day. So I went on without finishing what I needed done at customer service desk. But it's been multiple time now, and at last I had to request one of the coach supervisor there to finish up what I needed.

Walmart. That usually says enough. But this location was clean. There was not stuff in all the aisles or blocking things. The shelves were well stocked-a few of everything, not empty and not about to fall on you. We both found all the things we went in for so it was a success. Hard to find an employee but I'm sure some existed.

Being angry with the Brewer Walmart today I'm adding a second review of an incident from a bit over a year ago. I had just left Machias Savings Bank before heading to Walmart. That day the bank had given out promotional Mossy Oak ball caps. (I love that bank and was happy to wear it). Anyway, after shopping at Walmart before going out to my car I put the hat back on and was promptly stopped by the Walmart "greater". This woman accused me of stealing the cap! Now the cap had the Bank name EMBROIDERED on it! Still, this woman persisted in demanding a receipt for the bank embroidered promotional cap. She got he attention of a Brewer police officer and long story short he heard me out, looked at the embroidered cap with the BANK'S name, handed it back to me, looked at the "greater", shook his head and walked off without a word. The "greater" stood there like a gaping fish and I left feeling publicly humiliated.

I have been in this area for a little over three years now and I visit this store often, it is a necessary evil and far from any kind of decent shopping experience. In the three years I have been going there spending thousands of dollars I have been plagued with having to go out in the parking lot to find the smaller shopping carts. Early in the summer (2019) I finally had enough and called the store manager from the parking lot and complained about this. I put up with it all summer again, obviously ignored. On Veteran's day 2019 I went in and there were no small carts as usual, this time I asked the greeter to get me one and she did. For the record I am a disabled U.S. Veteran who suffers from PTSD and on Veteran's day two different greeters never said a word to me while wearing a sweatshirt that says in huge letters VETERAN. I came home, called the same store manager to which I was told 250 carts have been ordered, as for the greeting...oh well I guess. I was also told to ask for a cart when there were not any. I also filed a complaint with corporate, I got another call from the Brewer store manager telling me things would be better and again to ask for assistance if the carts were not there. Today I go in, one week later and no small carts. I went to the greeter and asked him to get me one, he refused. I told him his manager told me to ask for one and this employee still refused and told me verbatim "if you dont like it you can go somewhere else". I waited for a manager, (not the one I talked to on the phone) who only sought to degrade my issues as if it was my fault or perhaps just too petty. He told the employee to apologize but the employee did not, no one got me a cart and no one apologized for any inconvenience. The only time someone apologized WAS CORPORATE. I came home and called corporate again, a complaint form is being sent to the Brewer store for me to file a formal complaint against the employee who lied and called me a liar (which I will and wont settle for anything less than a public apology where he wronged me). I am waiting on a call from the store manager and the district manager to resolve this. This store violated my rights as a disabled person, management allowed an employee to get away with creating a negative situation and I was made to look like a fool. It could have been resolved with the employee acting like the customer matters and simply getting me a cart, whether he did it himself or called on his radio. You would think a human being standing 10 feet or so with a clear view of that bin would have the initiative to call on his radio when he saw the bin getting low...isnt that his job too? (if it isn't we have identified the issue) It's not my job to go hunting for shopping carts, it's going to be winter in Maine soon and I really dont want to spend another winter walking around doing someone elses job and not get paid for it. I am sixty years old and surely do not want to fall on ice looking for a shopping cart. No excuse for treating any customer like this. I will update this later with the results but right now my opinion of the store in Brewer Maine is the customer does not matter, employees are always right and they dont need our busines. Unfortunately it seems that management is at this time impotent as they just sided with the employee and not the customer (who was 100% right because that bin was empty). Honestly all the talks I had with the manager were very positive and well received, but now I feel like perhaps he was just placating me. BTW 2 stars because I dont hate the store but I hate hunting for shopping carts. Without said issue constantly happening 4 stars

Brewer Walmart tire center is a joke! Had 2 tires put on and it took 3 hours. Customers that came in after us were done before us. The guys in the garage done work effectively or efficiently. They are too busy walking around taking, and waiting people's time. The gentleman behind the counter was the only person who actually was pleasant and polite! Will not be a return customer to the tire center!

This morning (4th of July) I went to Walmart. One thing I noticed was the atmosphere was very pleasant which is not always the case at this store. While all the employees were friendly one went above and beyond. Larry was stocking the lunch meat area when I walked over and he politely asked me if I needed assistance. He also asked the deli department to assist me with a few items. It was early and I found out that they helped me even though the deli counter was closed until 7:00 AM. I was grateful for the kindness and going above and beyond. I also noticed that the majority of the employees were older and worked well together. Nice job and a delight considering it is a holiday.

This Wal-Mart is the best one I've been too. They are really organized and just remodeled. The staff is helpful and kind. The only reason I'm rating it a 4 is because once when I was there, there was a small fire and we had to evacuate and it was closed for the rest of the day.

I just have bad luck here. I've come by twice on my way to open a cabin for the season. Stop in to get food and essentials for the week. It's nice because it's a one stop shop for everything we need and at a good rate. Plenty of parking. And it's easy to get help from employees. However the first time I came here I was wearing a hat very special to me and it fell off. I went back and wandered the same aisles to recover it but it was gone. Lost and found didn't have it. Employees didn't seem to care enough to call and ask in the radio if someone picked it up. I left very sad. Second time I came here I had bought groceries. Unfortunately they only sell five pound chicken. I only wanted a pound for the night. But I got it anyways. I wasn't even out of the parking lot before a dog ate it all. Then I had to go back and waste another $10ish to buy another one.
