I am extremely impressed with the quality of work performed, level of professionalism, and extensive knowledge of all areas of the home. Mr. Pettengill included me in the process, explained all areas inspected and answered my questions in a respectful and engaging manner. The inspection report is thorough and easy to understand. Jason and Tim did an excellent job with our home inspection. We’ve never had one that was so thorough, detailed and easy to understand. Oliver and Tim from Maine Inspection did a fantastic job with our home inspection. They were on time, thorough, and professional. They communicated both the positives and negatives of the home very clearly. We received the report within an hour which was detailed and contained pictures of all the “trouble” areas. Their report will also serve as our guide for future recommended home maintenance. The rates were reasonable, especially compared to the peace of mind the inspection provided on some big ticket items such as the septic. I would absolutely recommend Maine Inspection to anyone looking for a detailed and thorough inspection in a timely manner. Thanks to Oliver and Tim who worked in the rain and drizzle to find the septic tank and leach field, Crystal who continued to work with us despite multiple last-minute schedule changes on our end, as well as the rest of the Maine Inspection team who have put together a great product for hopeful homebuyers like myself.

These guys are amazing. They were punctual, timely, and very knowledgeable in their positions. Not only are you getting a knowledgeable group of people who know what they're doing, but you're also getting a group of people who are beyond professional and polite. They seem to care very much about their customers and help them understand any issues that are presented along the way and with such great detail. Their reports are top-notch and very very descriptive to help anyone, expert or not, understand every aspect of what is usually the biggest decision and purchase one can make in their lifetime. On Second thought..... October 2021 I hired Maine Inspections to do an inspection of my ‘hopefully’ soon to be forever retirement home. Oliver game out and did what I thought at the time was a professional, in-depth inspection of the house. He was prompt, courteous and professional throughout the process, giving us some great insight and advice on issues with the property. I was so impressed that I wrote a 5 star review, something that I rarely do.Fast forward 3 months, during renovations, I am confronted with the news that we need an entire new roof. I had 3 separate roofing contractors look at it and give me their opinions and quotes for repair. All noted apparent water damage, missing flashing, screws sticking out and no roof ridge vent were visible from the ground and the driveway. All 3 felt that the roof issues should have been caught during the inspection. During the inspection the roof was never identified to me as an issue so I pulled out my inspection report and there was no mention of any roof damage or needing a replacement. The only mention was the need for yearly maintenance on the sealant around the chimney and flashing.I reached out to Maine Inspections to let them know what was happening and Oliver got right back to me and came out right away. He re-examined the roof and talked about condensation from the basement on some of the screws inside the attic. (This would not be the reason for water pouring into the attic and down the walls causing water damage on the rafters, the electrical panel to rust and black mold in the insulation of the attic and wall.) He stated that to get any sort of financial reimbursement, we would need to hire an attorney and go after their insurance company. If we had this information before we bought the house, we would have handled the transaction differently. We are now having to replace the roof at a cost of over $15,000.While I completely understand that anyone can make a mistake, especially with the number of homes that they are inspecting, what I cannot understand is not being held accountable and making things right for the customer. I have never heard from the owner of the company and the only concession that was offered was to me by Oliver was to sign a release and get my $700 inspection fee back. I am now having to get an attorney to try and recoup some of the loss that I have.Oct 2021 Oliver and Alex were excellent! They were professional and took the time we needed to understand the inspection and the findings. Cannot reccomend them enough! Would give them 10 stars if we could!

These guys were and are great. Three of them showed up and were helpful, fast and thorough. They cut no corners and dig right into it. They are not afraid to get their hands dirty and are worth the money.

We use them for a potential home and they did an amazing job! Did a video tour of areas we were concerned about and went through everything thoroughly. We ended up not purchasing that home but when the next one comes up, we definitely will tell our realtor, we want you guys again!

Oliver, Tim and Jeff were great! The inspection was very thorough. They conscientiously walked us through all of their findings so we could understand everything. The inspection report was also incredibly detailed, with pictures and descriptions that we will be able to go back and reference later. I highly recommend Maine Inspection!
