I lived here at boothbay only for the summer time and I bought here many times. But it's one lady that work here that once she told me very rude "we close in 5 min" and I understand that day, but another day she came (rude) to me and said "I don't want to be rude but if you're gonna to buy something do it quickly, because your perfume it's makes me a headache" obviously I didn't buy anything and never returned again.I write these because some many owners of shops at boothbay harbor have these rude attitude with the costumers not only these lady, just I want to warn you

We had a ball shopping in this store while on vacation. It's cute and quaint. Lots to look at. Bought grandkids some sweatshirts and ordered hubby a shirt for our anniversary. It's gonna be a huge surprise for him. We love The Smiling Cow.

Very rude. Walked in and the lady said “we close in five minutes” I said “oh I’ll leave then!” And she said “we open at 9 tomorrow”. We WON’T be back!

A great Boothbay shop that has everything you might want for gift options and mementos of your Maine adventures. Found everything we needed. Beware that the shop has a couple of levels.

This is a Boothbay Harbor icon. We always go in here first when arriving in the harbor. Its always super fun and the merchandise is fresh and cool too. I always find things to bring back to my friends. I find lots to take home for us as well. Its clean. Their employees are always helpful and they have the latest in great items as well as the traditional things we always love to have. This is on the top of our list as a "must go to." You'll love it too!

I think the current owner said the gift shop has been in business since the 1930s or 40s. It's a sweet, kitschy beach shop on Commecial St. near the Boothbay Harbor marina. It has lots of reasonably priced tourist items, including puffin stuffed animals. Worth a stop if you are in Boothbay!

Best gift in town! The owners are very friendly with end of year clearance prices we went back a second time. All in all we bought 30 very nice hooded sweaters, jackets and T-Shirts for our immediate family. The gave us a discount coupon for their son's shoe store right down from them. So friendly and helpful.

While celebrating our 38th anniversary we decided to take a whale watching tour. We arrived quite early so we strolled along the waterfront visiting the shops along the way. this is your typical tourist gift shop with that down home feel. The staff was friendly and helpful. When we told the cashier we were traveling (by car) from Ohio he took extra care wrapping each item we purchased. (Our granddaughter loved her mermaid). I only wish you had an online store...but I guess that means I have to travel back to Maine!

Packed with tee shirts, sweatshirts, hats, nautical souvenirs, and Maine themed items, this is a typical beach town gift shop that is right down by the harbor.

Kitschy, this store is a mainstay of Boothbay Harbor. I remember this store from when my parents brought me here when I was a child and now I am not a child (LOL). Oddities, ornaments, clothing, you name it you will find it here, A funky throwback to the days of roadside gift shops that no longer exist, stop in and experience history, even if you don't buy that fake lobster.
