“Living on MDI, driving an hour to the Blue Hill Co-op is a regular destination as they carry so much more than I can find on island or in Ellsworth. Amazing selection of local produce and vegan goods (dairy, “meats” and tofu products, fermented foods, etc.) Huge bulk section which is the area I find most useful, carrying hard to find items like organic oat groats.
The cafe has improved with regular V items and always a rotation of baked goods and grab and go.
I got the falafel burger on a GF bun (really good bun - I did not specifically ask if it was vegan, though mentioned I was vegan.) Delicious and hefty side of fries.
Lovely outside seating area with umbrellas for shade or rain.
This is a vibrant community spot, and a fun place to run into or meet kind people.”
