A huge shoutout to Tom of Generators of Maine and his dedication to customer service. As the April 2024 Nor'easter was approaching, he made time to be sure the generator at my camp was serviced and running. Even though a scheduled appointment was not in the books (only a tentative two week window to perform the service). Sure enough, hours after he came I lost power for 2 1/2 days, and without the functioning generator I would have had to stay somewhere else.After Augusta Fuel exited the generator business, I was referred to Generators of Maine and have been very pleased with timeliness of service, communication, and educating me on the proper use of my system.I highly recommend them to those considering either a purchase or continued services.

Our diesel generator developed a leak, spraying diesel out through the radiator. Despite being the middle of January, despite unfortunate though temporary changes in the ferry schedule, despite after a major storm where we were on the generators for 34 hours, despite snow on installation day, despite the private utility ferry service having their loading dock damaged and being unable to assist, despite a weekend, despite a national holiday...Doug brought a new unit out here and installed it in five (5) days. Advice to those who need a generator: DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO CALL ANYONE ELSE!

Tyler and the crew from Generators of Maine replaced our older whole house generator. They were on time, friendly and professional, careful with my property, tidy and careful with their work, and answered all my questions. They were also thorough to check my propane and electrical connectivity before leaving to make sure all my existing services weren't disrupted. Dan and the office staff are always courteous and responsive. They have been the only generator service company who comes promptly whenever we had trouble with our previous older generator. Called and spoke to receptionist who took a message for generator repair. Two weeks later no return call so I sent a follow-up email. It’s been nearly a month and I’ve still not received a response. I would have appreciated a response even if it was to let me know that they weren’t interested and/or unable to work on my generator. This is terrible customer service. I ended up contacting Augusta Fuel Company who was responsive and able to fix the issue.

I did not have a good experience. I asked them to come and check my Generac generator to determine if I needed a new one. Some young fellow came and was more interested in my propane tanks and service than in checking the generator. I had questions as to whether my generator was sufficient for my geo thermal heating system. He said he would do some research and get back to me----that was a month ago. No follow up.Too bad since my neighbor built a new house and is looking for a generator. (Which I told K----, the young fellow). Lost sale there. I called this company under the recommendation of Mr. Haas of Readfield.
