***I highly suggest to STAY AWAY from Liberty Bell Moving & Storage.***This company uses deceptive trade practices and cares more about being “right” than keeping customers happy.In the contract, they tell you they can add a 3rd mover at their discretion and that adding a 3rd person at your expense will work out as the same, but it actually doesn’t because they charge you an hourly rate for 3 movers not just for loading and unloading of the items, but also for riding in the truck. Meanwhile, in the initial estimate email they’ll tell you they will use 2 movers.They write out how the hourly charge is applied in the middle of a lengthy email but fail to include such info in the actual (also lengthy) contract that is to be signed. The flat travel fee does NOT include time traveling from your 1st move site to the 2nd one. Instead, you are charged an hourly rate for 2 movers, or 3 if they decide they want to add another at their “discretion”.Their Better Business Bureau rating is a C+They expect you to provide a week notice to change or cancel a move; otherwise you lose your deposit which includes the travel fee plus 2 hours of move time with 2 movers; it doesn’t matter whether the change is outside your control.Their response to bad reviews is highly unprofessional. Instead of trying to resolve the complaint, the owner calls people names (“idiot”, “moron”, etc.) or dismisses it by saying it’s a fake review.There was a recent lawsuit against them for unlawfully threatening to sue or charge people for posting bad reviews, trying to site “defamation of character” (Yelp warns people of this).They are essentially company-centric, not customer-centric.They’ll be responsive and agreeable to get your business, but then will already have your credit card info on file to charge you how they see fit, even if you disagree or try to resolve a contested invoice.They have no interest in providing a win-win situation for their customers.I wish I had done a more thorough investigation into Liberty Bell Moving & Storage before hiring them. If I had, I would not have hired them. Hopefully this review saves others from having a similar costly and stressful experience that I ended up having with this company.

I hired this company to move my stienway upright piano. They arrived to pick it up in a truck that was already full and very poorly packed. When I refused to let them try and cram it in next to a lawnmower, I was told I would not get my $500.00 deposit back. After looking at the packing job, would you trust these people to move your stuff? The also had nothing but a small hand cart for moving equipment. Do not use this company, they are a scam and will steal your money.

No reply to my inquiry. Would not recommend a company that does not reply. I had a house flood and was looking for immediate help (but didn't really expect to be successful). Any reply would have been welcome. Funny how they reply within minutes of a negative review though. Guess that says all I need to know about them.

We used Liberty Bell to load UBoxes from our house and to move out a piano. Three movers showed up on time. They were friendly and polite and they worked really hard. They did a nice job packing everything in the UBoxes and making sure all of the furniture was wrapped in padding. The piano was ridiculously heavy and they moved it up from the basement and took it away for a very reasonable price. We were more than satisfied with Liberty Bell and would have no hesitation recommending them.

Liberty Bell moving and storage just did my local move. I'm a dialysis patient and wasn't able to finish all my packing by move day. There was a crew of three that arrived on time( great communication about arrival) with call when on the way. The g were cheerful even when tired. I have a lot of heavy stoneware they had to pack extremely courteous( I have a customer service background and not everyone gets it). Most things were pack very well, and only one piece was damaged and it was a glass shelf that I knew I was taking my chances with. Every thing else was fine. Very pleased, now the hard part comes, unpacking!

Called Liberty Bell after not hearing back from several other movers. Received an immediate callback and discussed my move and my need to do the move within two weeks. Later in the day I received a detailed proposal which worked well . Two men and a truck arrived when expected. It snowed the night before the move and I was impressed with how careful they were to remove the sandy snow from their boots. They were equally careful with the furniture, very friendly, and helpful with several of my requests to move things around. All in all a very successful move !

Liberty Bell is always there when you need them. We had to pack up our house for a renovation. The crew came and were efficient and courteous. They were puzzle masters getting everything in the house into one of the small bedrooms. I was impressed. Months later they came back and unpacked the room, were helpful in placing and re assembling the furniture. They crew was on time and communicated clearly their arrival time. It was easy to book online. It's a top quality company.

I had a very good experience with Liberty Bell Moving and Storage. The quality of their work was exceptional. They were very versed on what needed to get done with the baby grand piano and upright piano's. Care was taken from disassembly to reassembly of the baby Grand Piano.

We were looking for a Maine based company and found Liberty Bell Moving and Storage to move us back to Maine from out of state. They were upfront with the costs and returned emails and phone calls promptly with any questions we had. The movers that packed our house into the truck did it efficiently and with respect of our stuff. Thanks for making it stress free!

Moving is always a stressful day. The Liberty Bell Moving team was wonderful and did an excellent job. Had two guys complete all the work in a few hours. Nothing was damaged or missing. Highly recommend

Great experience from start to finish. I was provided a quote for packing and moving that was significantly lower than quotes from other local companies. Payment and communication were super easy. The crew showed up on time and were professional and courteous. All my items arrived without damage. I chose the option for no inventory/added insurance, for the record, and I never felt concerned for how my items were packed or handled.I would absolutely use LB again and/or recommend them to a friend. When all was said and done, I saved close to $2k from the next lowest quote, which seems insane for a 1 br move from NH to MA.Thanks for removing so much stress from my move Liberty Bell!Services: Furniture assembly

We could not be more happy with the services provided by Liberty Bell Moving & Storage. We hired them for an in state move with some very heavy items. Nathan and Jay took great care and caution to make sure everything was moved safely without damage. We would most definitely use them again.
