My car broke down on our way home to Brooklyn, NY from Boothbay Harbor on a Sunday. We were able to get to VIP in Bath and both of the guys there (both were named Chris) diagnosed the car, had the parts and worked on our car so we could be on our way home. They were so kind and understanding of our situation and were incredibly professional and well versed in the problem with my car. So incredibly satisfied with the work they did I would highly recommend them, and already have to my friends in Maine.

I was very, very unhappy Wednesday when my car was serviced, but got a call from Richard, the manager, who was out on training last week and now everything is fine.

Friendly and efficient service, and experts at keeping my old truck 'healthy' and on the road for years! Feeling lucky to have VIP here in Bath, Maine, and trust this crew with mechanical issues, oil changes, tires - any kind of service my vehicle needs. Also appreciate observing, when waiting onsite for my truck today, their respectful and often funny interactions with each other! Actually enjoy bringing my vehicle in for that reason! Richard was very helpful, professional and courteous! We were able to get scheduled for new tires & alignment the next day, and had a very short wait to retrieve our car! We will definitely be back for when our other will need new tires.

Today I got in there the same day that I called and my tires were replaced within a very reasonable amount of time. The gentlemen who work there are friendly, helpful and pleasant. I was given top-notch information about how to take care of my tires. My tires were very worn when I brought in the car and I was very lucky to get it done quickly as I am a Doordash delivery driver for a living.

I was going to post a 4 star review originally because the person who was helping (originally) went above and beyond to fix a company mistake that supposedly has been happening for a while now where online stock is not actually available in the store. Well, the resolution he came up with wasn’t necessarily perfect, but It was acceptable. It was his hard work, and customer service that I appreciated. He was the only guy working and he made a point to take care of our problem then and there and get us back on the road. Because of him, I decided to have the rest of the work done that we were quoted for with VIP. I call and asked to schedule some of the services that were on our quote and specifically said I need this service done first if there is time there’s a secondary service on the quote but it’s gonna be close to closing (based on the appointment time I was given with a 30-60 minute expected service time). the first service needs to be done, The second I could do myself I just haven’t had time so for the quote I was given if you have time, it’d be great to have it done. Go in for the appointment an hour and a half goes by and it was all wrong. They did the services that we asked to be done only if they had time first. then tried to charge us almost 4 times the quoted amount for that secondary service (without verifying that would be ok with us prior to doing the service) then after having to say no I’m not paying that, suddenly the important service couldn’t be completed. it was getting close to closing, amazing how suddenly, no cant and it’s gonna be another $900 to do it. So we took it to another Mechanic (we called and told them what happened) they put it up and confirmed the almost $900 quote to replace parts was not necessary. so I think it really depends on who’s working because the people that were there this weekend, feels like they were trying to pull a fast one. They did end up, honoring the original quote for the secondary service they completed after being called out.

A friendly place, with good customer service. But the actual store inventory may be different then what's shown online. Be sure to call before you walk in. Other then that it is a very nice establishment

My daughter and I have both come to VIP in Bath to get oil changes. Service was friendly and we were happy not to be bombarded by pressure to purchase additional services. Having a comfortable place to sit and use their WiFi was a plus. I will definitely be back.
