“We are new to Androscoggin Animal Hospital since August 2024. We had heard wonderful things about this veterinary practice and decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, our Golden Retriever, Oliver, was diagnosed with cancer at his first visit. My husband and I decided based on the information and know our boy for 9.5 years, that the surgery would cause such stress for him, that it in its self would lower his quality of life. This decision was supported. Last week, it was time to let him go. The level of care, compassion, empathy, professionalism was the absolute highest we have ever experienced in our 30 years of owning pets. Oliver passed knowing that he was loved beyond measure, our special requests (music, water, his blanket, some crystals) were all respected and the time we needed and Oliver needed were the only thing that mattered. We will continue to go to this practice and highly recommend Androscoggin Animal Hospital.”
“I love this clinic. Everyone is very kind, toward both the pets as well as toward their concerned owners. I'm an anxious pet owner, but I always feel that my concerns are treated with respect, attention, and grace. My cat is a feisty tortie, but she, too, is treated with calming love and patience.”
“I cannot say enough amazing things about Woodbrook Animal Clinic. From their knowledgeable and outstanding receptionists down to the incredible Dr. Doughty my pets have always been taken care of. One thing that has always stood out to me is the amount of care Dr. Doughty encompasses. She explains things in a way that is easy to understand and remember. She is a wealth of knowledge and has a heart of gold.
Any reviews stating she is more interested in money clearly has no idea what it takes mentally, physically, and financially to run a business. You can love what you do and make a living. Shame on all of you.
I can’t recommend this establishment more!!!
P.S Zodiac is doing so much better!
Thank you Woodbrook Animal Clinic!! :)”
“We were on vacation in Maine this summer (with our year old cat) and I noticed he was having trouble urinating. I know that this is a medical emergency for male cats, so I tried to find a vet (from our remote cottage on Small Point where phone/internet service isn't the greatest). The first vet I called in Bath was unable to help and suggested I take him to the emergency vet in Portland. I really didn't want to do that (I would have if it had ended up being the only option) and decided to make one more call to Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates. They were very kind and caring on the phone when I explained the situation, and squeezed us in for that day, an hour later! We took him in, and I was very impressed with how welcoming and compassionate all of the staff was! Even though we had to wait a while, which I completely understood, they got him right in and made decisions on how to proceed. When it looked like it was going to take even longer to get a urine sample and test results, the doctor, knowing we were on vacation, suggested that we leave and come back to pick him up at the end of the day. I can't say it enough, the doctor was incredibly kind and I knew that our cat was in the best hands he could possibly be in. They kept in touch with me throughout the day, and when we went back later that afternoon, the doctor had come up with a care plan for his urinary tract disease. The plan included prescription canned cat food, and they gave me what they had in stock. They had also given our cat fluids, which eventually "got things going" and he was able to urinate normally. We had no further issues I am so grateful for the care my cat received, at the last minute, from a veterinary office that he wasn't even a patient at! If we didn't live so far away, this would 100% be our regular vet. I can't recommend Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates enough, they care about every animal they see (while we were waiting I observed this over and over again as other clients came in to the office) and providing the best care possible. I would give 10 stars if that were an option!”
“I have been going to VCA for years and they are amazing in the good and Thé heartbreaking stuff. Kind and compassionate staff. They are super helpful. They may cost a little more than some other Vets but we'll worth it for the great service they provide.”
