M.W. Sewall is a terrific local company and provides top notch service. There are some huge companies that are rolling up firms left and right across Canada and the United States. We were tired of being lost in the shuffle with those giants. Also a big shout out to Ed, a true gem who always helps us with options when it is time to upgrade equipment. Go local with M.W. Sewall!

We have been customers for 7 years. Lost power and phone for several days from a big storm. Ran out of propane (we are on automatic) and they charged us an exorbitant price for "an emergency". Shopped around and found they are much more expensive so changed to new company. Offered to buy tank and they said they don't sell (only rent), in talking to new company it's so they can charge more per gallon. Their tank has been sitting in my driveway for weeks! Called twice and they said they are going to charge us $175 to pick up THEIR tank!! I contacted the attorney general. This is insane! Run!!

A propane truck from them just showed up today due to a mistake on their end from thinking the previous owner of the home just wanted the heating oil discontinued instead of all services. I called them right away and they said I wouldn't have to pay for it since it was the previous owner's subscription (which was around 50 gallons of propane anyway) which was nice.
Then I got a call from someone named Ed telling me that they usually come to drain it out from the tanks unless I'm interested in him making a 'sweet deal' over the 50 gallons of propane. I told him what the previous person said and he then said in that case they'll 'eat the bill' and leave me be unless I'm interested in setting something up with them and that he'll have a talk with whoever said I didn't have to pay for what the previous owner ordered.
It sounds like the management is very greedy and shady, especially since I AM NOT one of their customers and have nothing to do with ordering any of their products. If they want to bill anyone: it should be the previous owner who didn't unsubscribe from their propane!

I have used MW Sewall for over 10 years and never once had an issue with them. The office staff has always been very friendly and always got my propane delivery when I said I was going to. Well we just found propane at a cheaper price and from a local company so we switched over. I had MW Sewall come out to pick up their propane tanks and I got a bill for $70. I have to pay them to pick up their own tanks. Seems a little ridiculous to me. I get I had to pay to have them delivered, I paid to use them monthly but I have to pay them to pick up their tanks. I will not recommend this company to anyone in the future.

Was told it would be 145.87 for half a tank of propane just needed to fill out new client paperwork. Less than stellar communications later and about 14 days I hear back after filling it out (2 weeks prior) then they tell me it'll be 289.00 for a half tank and I argued and it was lowered to 189....unethical. I'll use a space heater.

Horrible customer service! I just bought my tanks from them and they quoted $287.9 per gallon in the letter dated 8/1/22 since I was going to be owning my own tanks. I was informed by “Paula Alexander, GM/HR” that the price changed to $319.9 back in June and that they would not honor the price quoted in the letter, but they would give me the $319.9 price if I was interested. This is the same company that went bankrupt 10 years ago. They clearly haven’t learned from their past business dealings and have no interest in doing what it takes to honor their word or please their customers. I asked if they could honor the $287.9 price for just one fill-up the next time it was needed and they would not do that either. If you are in the market for propane, run to anyone else, but M. W. Sewall. One cannot rely on their word.

Best customer service and pricing. Cares about people not just getting your money. Paula is honest and kind. We used another company for the past 5 years and we will not be returning to them because the service from MW Sewall is much better.
