My wife and I live in Portland and we spent about a month researching online for a well-built sectional before visiting every furniture store within a 50 mile radius. No other furniture store online or brick-and-mortar had anywhere near the combination of selection, price, and customer service as Country Farm. We love the couch (Flexsteel Bryant sectional). The couch shows no problems, but I could not be more confident that any issues with the couch would be addressed with the utmost urgency and professionalism. The owners and staff are lovely people. I've never left a google review before but felt compelled to do so based on having had such a positive experience.

I bought a new sofa yesterday from Country Farm. I was treated like gold during the entire visit and transaction. Less than 2 hours later, my sofa was delivered by the most professional and good natured young men I've encountered in a long time. I purchased a livingroom set from them 20 years ago and their excellent products and customer service is just the same as it was back then.

A few years ago, we bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture from Country Farm Furniture Store in Bath to furnish a high end rental property. A full "sleigh bed" with mattress, twin mattress, sofa-bed, linen cabinet, wing chair, (and sofa with custom-made removable/cleanable upholstery for our own home). We have pets so clearly specified the need for removable, cleanable upholstery. All furnishing were fine and have held up well.Except the upholstered sofa for our home. Upon arrival, one zipper was already failing. The upholstery was pulled so taut around the frame, something had to give. So, the zipper pulled away from the fabric. The store removed the cover, sent it back to the manufacturer, and replaced it once fixed.Not long after, I removed one cushion cover to wash (washing machine/cold water, dried slightly in dryer then air dried). I was unable to squeeze the cushion back into the cover. Finally, after a struggle, and a very lopsided obviously ill-fit, the zipper gave way. The fabric had shrunk so badly, not only did the zipper fail but the cushion didn't look like it matched its mate. I contacted the store and was told I would be contacted. That never happened. At some point, I contacted them again and spoke to the new owners (who were in the store as I made the original purchases) and was told the fabric had been discontinued but that I would be contacted by the person who dealt with repairs. It never happened.This was well before covid. Time has passed; this review is late. But this morning as I washed the throw cover which protects this sofa from pets, I am once again reminded that the cushions no longer match in size, the zipper is broken and I will never even attempt to clean the large ill-fitting frame cover because it would be impossible to squeeze back onto the frame.We like "buying local". That's why we purchased here. If, for no other reason than good PR, they could have at least attempted to assist us with this problem. I am so disappointed in this store. After all, we spent thousands. I will go elsewhere next time.

We were so impressed with the service and quality provided by the owner of Country Farm Furniture. We ordered a wonderful king size storage bed, however upon the first attempt of delivery by the owner's son and a co-worker, it was impossible to get the bed into our tricky little house. They both comforted our fears that we may lose this great bed, and said they would figure it out with the manufacturer (Maine based). Well sure enough they did that - but it was certainly extra work on their part as Country Farm had to take apart the furniture, carefully, and get it into our house, and put it back together (complicated). The owner came for the second installation with his son and we were so impressed with their commitment to making us happy. Wow! We were so impressed as they worked through this process to make us happy. And, we LOVE the bed! It is amazing - both in comfort and quality. We couldn't recommend this company more. And, on the front end, Vicky, the salesperson was very knowledgeable and responsive.Beth and Bob Kniss
