Oh, we loved it!!! I spent so much money ? in this store!!! Everything was wonderful!!! It smelled so good from the pine smell, and they have so many things to buy!!!! I went back 3 different times!!!!! Love this place!!!

We experienced the very best service at the retail store at 10 Huntington Rd. In Northeast Harbour, ME. Jessica went out of her way to give show us around the store and further suggest touristic options in the area. Jessica was personable and friendly. Although the store was not busy at the time, she had a genuine interest in customers. Jessica is originally from Colorado but clearly has adopted this area as her second home. She passes on her enthusiasm. Jessica is an asset to any business.

The store had a lot of good mercy. I was looking at hats and they had the same as another store, but for a better price ($25 vs $35). My daughter was looking at some cheap plastic bracelets and one ended up breaking. She took the bracelet to the counter with an intention of paying for the broken item with her own money. They clerk was very understanding and didn't make her pay for it. She was kind and told my daughter that she appreciated her bringing it to the counter and letting her know rather than just putting it back on the shelf. First class by that employee. Thank you for helping teach my daughter an important lesson.

Bottom Line: One of the better shops in downtown Bar Harbor featuring better souvenirs, some local products and LL Bean clothing. The Acadia Corporation owns and runs eight different individual stores in the Bar Harbor area that collectively are referred to as "Acadia Shops." This specific review is for the two story "Acadia Shop" located at 85 Main Street. Because the Acadia Corporation is running many stores in Bar Harbor stuff really starts to look the same from store to store but the Acadia Shop stood out to me because upstairs they had some local art and quality LL Bean gear. I enjoyed looking at the prints and notecards from local artists. Also, on a cold and rainy day it was nice to peruse lots of warm and cozy jackets and zip-ups from LL Bean. Downstairs was more souvenir-y like t-shirts, magnets, signs, candy, etc.

This shop is so much fun! It has two floors so on the first floor you can shop for local food items and crafts. The second floor has some gorgeous local art work! I picked up a giant stuffed lobster, popover mix with the pan and a few T-Shirts to take home for gifts. There is so much great merchandise so you really need to take your time to see it all. Will be sure to come here again when I am back in Bar Harbor.
