Went to Bar Harbor looking for a close location that rented E bikes. Was not disappointed. The E bikes were quality, comfortable with a cushy seat and did not have to worry about running out of battery. Staff was so pleasant and even recommended a bike route which was phenomenal. We plan on coming back in the fall for another trip just to utilize these bikes in the wonder that is Acadia. Can't recommend enough.

Had a full day reservation for two e-bikes and ended up with some unforeseen problems that made me unable to walk. I called the morning of our reservation and asked if there is anyway we could get our money back (the cancellation policy is 48 hours notice). I was not hopeful as I know they probably deal with entitled tourists all too often and we missed the cancellation window. Talked with Sarah who was quick to cancel our reservation with a full refund. Phenomenal customer service. Didn’t end up using the bikes but wanted to leave a review seeing as other reviews historically complained about bad customer service. When we come back and can try again for round two we will most definitely use Pedego!

Truly, the best place to rent a bike for cruising the carriage trails in Acadia. I have rented at least three if not, four times from Lucas and Sarah the owners of this small business. First class service and great people.!!! Wicked convenient to downtown

We were happy to see there was a PEDEGO dealer in Bar Harbor because we are PEDEGO owners for the last five years. So was great to have the opportunity to ride bikes in Acadia National Park we reserved the bikes two days before we were going to ride the owner of this PEDEGO shop is LUCAS he lived there on Bar Harbor all his life so he is very informative and helpful about things to do and restaurants on the island. We had a great ride through the park and if we ever travel back, we will do it again. I don't think you can't go wrong if you rent PEDEGO's on Bar Harbor.

Rental bikes were quite run down. Brakes needed adjustment and shifter mount was loose making shifting difficult (and greatly needed on the hills). When we go back we will look at other local rentals who seemed to have much newer and better maintained bikes.

I reserved my bike online last night and picked it up this morning for the day. The bike was great and the service was helpful and friendly. I hope to return to Bar Harbor and rent from here again. I loved riding the carriage roads and the ride to Acadia from the shop was not difficult. You just have to pay attention to the bike path signs to go the easiest way.

AMAZING time e-biking on the carriage road in Acadia National Park! Could the owner be any sweeter?! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. Keep in mind, the tandem bike is not as easy to catch on to, with children. After getting the hang of it though, we all had a great time. I highly recommend! Side note- the bikes have cute colors too!

Fantastic! My wife and I dropped in after coming off our ship to ask about bike rentals. They prepared two bikes for us and we explored the Acadia Park trails.

An amazing day riding the carriage roads of Acadia!! It was our first time riding E-bikes but they were very easy to use after a quick lesson. Shop location close to entrance. Carriage roads give a different view of the park. Will definitely rent again!!

The bikes were not properly tuned and not kept in very good condition, but otherwise they were fine. Two of the four bikes I rented for my group kept derailing the chain into the spokes of the rear wheel, and I had to adjust the low limit derailleur screw during my ride to fix the situation. One bike had a bent chain guard that was rubbing from the beginning, and I had to bend it back into proper position to fix it. Otherwise the riding in Acadia with these bikes was very enjoyable. We experienced no battery or electric motor problems while riding, and this was good. Most of the bikes came with locks and front handlebar bags or saddle bags which was a great convenience. I would recommend their rental bikes, especially for those who are experienced bike mechanics.

We online rented 4 e-bikes about 1.5 wks ago for today 8/16/23, the only online option is to rent for entire day , you can do it in person for hrly rate but at peak times you may not get an e-bike. It didn't take long to set us up (about 20 min) - mapping street direction to Acadia carriage trials , going over the bike operating instructions, adjusting the fitting. We had never ridden an e-bike but it was easy to get the feel and handling of the bikes as we rode toward the carriage trials. This was perfect for us as the e-bikes allowed us to do our sightseeing and photography without fatigue- it was sunny and 70-80 in the sun. The bikes come with lock and tools to do adjustments if needed(ie seat height - we didn't need any as bikes are in great shape). However not all bikes have water bottle holder but you can place a knapsack etc on back of bike - secured by bungee cord- supplied by shop. Overall we had a great experience- about 5.5 hrs rental time including a stop for lunch at Jordan Pond House(20 min wait without reservation) . The bike battery was still about 70 percent full at the end. Again the store representatives Mallory and Sara were great. Would definitely rent from them again on our next visit!

We had a blast riding these bikes through Acadia National Park and the carriage roads! Fun bikes and beautiful scenery. I would totally recommend it!

One of the best things to do in Acadia. We had never ridden E-Bikes before and these did not disappoint. We rode all through the carriage trails and boy did it help going up the mountains. This was by far the best experience we had.
