We found Bar Harbor Manor to be well positioned in downtown Bar Harbor with good parking. Unfortunately on the second day of our stay, we returned to the room to discover water leaking onto the bed from the ceiling sprinkler. We immediately told the front desk, and they responded that they’d call the handyman to come out and handle it. They did not offer an alternate room, but assured us they’d get it taken care of and that they would “make it right”. We checked back with the front desk after dinner a few hours later and they told us that because it was connected to the fire alarm system, it had to be looked at by someone from that company who would come in tomorrow morning. Again we were told they’d make it right, though they didn’t offer an alternate room and fully expected us to sleep in a bed under a leaky ceiling. The next day we returned from our morning hike to find the repair person finishing up in the room with buckets of foul smelling, brown water. We opened the balcony door to air out the room, and left shortly after. We ran into housekeeping on our way out and assumed they’d attend to our room next. When we returned hours later, they hadn’t been to our room at all. We checked out the next morning around 8:30 AM, and upon receiving the final receipt we were shocked to see that nothing was prorated for the condition of our room and the many interruptions we experienced during our stay. The front desk employee apologized saying that only a manager could make that adjustment. We called twice that same day to speak with a manager and left a message to return our call. We then called again two days later and still have not received a response. Not only did we experience room issues, but this speaks to a larger issue with how they treat their guests. I wanted to love this place, and was hoping for a peaceful visit, but unfortunately that’s not what we got.

Very happy with our stay. If you are looking for a quiet place not far from the main path, this is the spot. One of the things we loved most about the Manor was the available free and secure parking lot. Parking in downtown can be expensive and we were able to save by walking instead. It's a 10 minute walk to get to downtown.
The staff is also more then helpful with offering recommendations on best places to eat and even provides a free grab and go breakfast every morning. The breakfast consists of hot coffee/tea, yogurt, cereals, bananas, and fruit bars. The rooms are also clean and comfortable with amazing air conditioning. Bar Harbor got pretty humid during our stay and we were grateful for it! There is also a large enough fridge to put lunch/dinner leftovers in too. Thank you Bar Harbor Manor for an easy stay!
Walkability: 10 minute walk from downtown.

Spent one night while in the area. Room was spacious, CLEAN, well-maintained. Bed was COMFY! We were in an area where there were only four rooms, so it was very quiet. The landscaping was beautiful. The night manager was very helpful in locating just the right room for us, and in helping us find a restaurant suited to our dining pleasure. Checking in and out was easy. The location was great. Only had to walk a short distance to the restaurants. Apparently the hotel serves a continental breakfast but we were not informed about it when we checked in. Saw it as we were checking out. Muffins, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee were available. Coffee and cookies were available when we checked in!

Rooms: Deluxe king room was clean and spacious with access to a small porch.
Room was on the first floor and there were a bit of noises from people walking and moving things upstairs. Didn’t bother us, but something to note.
Nearby activities: Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. 10 min walk to harbor.
Walkability: 5-10 mins from all the shops and restaurants downtown
Food & drinks: All day coffee and tea. Cookies in the afternoon. Muffins, yogurt, and fruits in the morning.

Christopher, who was at the front desk, was so helpful and friendly. He was able to advise us on where to go and what to do and he was spot on with everything. Service was exceptional and our suite was very clean and orderly. The location is great - it is an easy walk into town and all it's restaurants and such. Should I go back to Bar Harbor / Acadia, this is where I'll stay.

Nice place to stay. Close to breakfast restaurant and sufficient parking. Rooms are dated and there is no space where you can meet other guests.
Walkability: Close to the harbor and restaurants.

If you look up the word "hospitality" then you should see Christopher and Constance's photo as the definition. While speaking with Christopher when we first checked in he was helpful and shared good information that I knew would make our short girls trip a wonderful stay. The location of this hotel is very convenient and everything is in walking distance. The rooms were spacious and housekeeping did a good job in making our beds each day. Constance an avid hiker recommended a trail that we were excited to check but due to the crowds and lack of parking spots we ended up on a different trail which worked out better but just speaking to her and her love of hiking was inspiring. She has great energy and if you are looking for a place to stay at Bar Harbor then this would be a great place to look into because with Christopher, Constance and team your stay will be great!

We stayed for one night and were upgraded, thanks to the kind host! We stayed in the hotel part of the Manor. The rooms were clean and perfectly sized. The front desk man (his name slips my mind) had wonderful dinner recommendations and was super informative. I will be back at the Bar Harbor Manor again!

We had an amazing experience at Bar Harbor Manor. The room was spacious, quiet, and had a nice balcony. Christopher gave us dinner recommendations every night of our stay, all of which were within walking distance from the hotel. The location could not have been better. Constance gave us quality Acadia hiking recommendations each morning. We are more than happy with our stay here and will definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

The service at Bar Harbor Manor is so welcoming and helpful. No matter who was at the desk, I felt so attended to and got many great recommendations for food and activities without even having to really ask. Christopher and Constance will make you feel right at home upon your arrival.
Walkability: Even though Bar Harbor Manor isn't right downtown, it's a short 10 minute walk to the shopping and dining areas of Bar Harbor. It's actually located at a nice remove from the tourist centers, and a great reprieve from the busy-ness.

My sister and I chose to go to this motel based on price and availability on 5/6. Your employees, Christopher, Constance, and Penny, are so awesome! All are very easy to talk to, helped us plan our activities, and gave great advice on places to eat and things to do! We only had booked one night, but after a great night of rest, we decided to stay 2 more nights! They were so accommodating, rearranging the schedule and left us stay 2 more nights in the same room, and a pleasure to talk to! Our room was quiet and enjoyed the fireplace too. We picked up supper to go and sat by the fireplace in the evening, especially after being pretty soaked after hiking, Coffee was always available, breakfast items were great, Ubr cookies were delicious! This has been the best place we ever stayed, and we were sad we were leaving! They truly made us feel like family and we will be back!
Rooms: Room was spacious, quiet and loved it!
Nearby activities: Hiked Cadillac Mountain, since road was closed due to paving, suggest places to visit even I rain and walked across the sand bar. Not really a shopper, but plenty to see and do too!
Food & drinks: Great suggestions on where to get great food! They know what is delicious and where to go!
Noteworthy details: Where to hike and what to see and not miss! Loved Hunter’s Beach even in the rain!

We stayed for 1 night, the room was excellent, the staff (Chris) very friendly and helpful, and the location nice and quiet.
A grab and go breakfast in the reception area was a welcome surprise and very good quality
The Manor is made up of 3 buildings and we stayed opposite the reception.

Lovely comfortable rooms. Easy parking and very nice to go breakfast
The only downside overwatch the hotel could do little about was the stench of dope coming through the ventilation system from some dope head in the next room
If you are not as unlucky as we were or you love dope then you will be over the moon with this hotel
