We had a wonderful time, everything met our expectations, and we will return again. We stayed in 5, a small cozy room, the bathroom was much bigger than expected and the shower had fantastic water pressure(very impressed). Only issue was the in window AC unit would make a clunking sound sometimes during the night.

Our first trip to Maine, I was looking for quaint, cottages or inns and this property ended up being just what I was looking for. Cabin 8 was perfect for my husband and I. the Kitchen, table with 2 chairs, wonderful bathroom and when we opened the door, fresh bath linens and candy greeted us and there was a very pleasant, clean smell when I was expecting musty. A wonderful place that exceeded all of our expectations. Joe, thank you for a wonderful experience. It was also a pleasure to meet you.
Nearby activities: Close enough to Bar Harbor, as our main destination on this trip, so we could go into the Harbor and enjoy it and then get away from the hustle and bustle to relax.

Charming place, and we would definitely stay here again if we were back in the area. If you like those vacation home reno shows and want to see what someone who knows what they're doing can accomplish with a legacy property, this is the spot. The public spaces with games, a grill and firepit are a great value add and a nice way to unwind and meet other guests at the end of the day. As others have mentioned, the rooms are tight, so if you cannot adapt a little then just stay at the Holiday Inn Express and leave this gem for those who will appreciate it.

We had a wonderful week at Bar Harbor Cottages & Suites. It was a wonderful base for our week in Acadia National Park. Our cottage #4 had everything we might need - and if you need extras they had them available. All employees we talked to were kind and very helpful. Our cottage had a wonderful screened in porch where I sat and stitched for hours. Settled in a neighborhood where morning walks were very easy and even found a deer one morning. Really nice place

Joe provides nice customer service. Stayed in room 9. If window not open there's a slight odor. Bedroom tiny. No room to walk or place items brought. Bathroom tiny. Very little room for personal items. No shower vent, shower very tiny. Can't move tiny. Quiet area & nice outdoor space. But out on adventures so did not use. Left a day early

What a fabulous stay! We absolutely loved staying here. The cottage was quaint and everything you think of when you think of the New England states. Extremely clean and had all the little extras to make you feel special. The outdoor area with the firepits even had the wood and everything to get it started. The lights at night were an added touch of elegance. The bed and linens were so comfortable, we didn't want to get out of bed. Still had the old charm of a cottage but was stocked with everything you need. Will be returning but bringing others with us next time. Definitely book here.

Tight cottage space but everything necessary was available including kitchen set up and outdoor firepit. Near ocean view and within 30 minutes from downtownBar Harbor.

The perfect place for a trip to Bar Harbor! Away from the traffic and congestion of downtown and an easy drive to Acadia National Park. Clean, comfortable and adorable cottage. We would love to go back.

Absolutely amazing. I say again, absolutely amazing. Not one thing out of place. Like living in someone's cottage. Many, many personal touches. The grounds are very well manicured. Top notch seafood and ice cream very close by. Price was very reasonable.

We stayed in the Bar Harbor Cottages & Suites in October 2023 during our holiday trip of USA East coast. We loved its quiet location, and found the small cottage charming and functional. The only isue we had was lack of power outlets in convenient locations (next to a table). We travelled from Australia and carried multiple mobile devices and photo cameras, all required batteries' charging. Apart from that overall experience was good.

Such a cute quaint cottage! We enjoyed our one night stay here. Wish we could have stayed longer! The cottage was spotless and the bed was sooo comfy. Loved the added touch of the colorful wool blanket on the bed for cooler nights! We had the best sleep!

These 'cottages' are in a beautiful setting in a quiet rural area. We had cottage number 1 which is a 2 bed place and although it is literally just off the road there was very little noise at all. Firstly I will say that the word 'cottage' is used differently in America to the way we use it in England. A more apt UK word be a 'chalet.' The interior was very small. We were a group of 3 adults and I wouldn't have liked to have stayed in this cottage if there were 4 of us. There was no wardrobe (closet) to hang clothes, which really threw me at first as we were travelling around for 2 weeks and didn't want creased clothing. However, once I'd managed to 'think outside the box' it was ok as there was a small 3 drawer chest in the living area, lots of hooks around and a rack high up on the bedroom wall. so we made do. The bedroom was mostly filled with the bed, which wasn't the comfiest, and there was probably only around 10 inches of space either side so we needed to shuffle sideways to get alongside it. We had to leave our cases in the sitting / kitchen area. The bathroom was naturally dark but had some great usable space in the cupboard under the sink along with a hairdryer. The shower cubicle was tiny but was more than made up for by the powerful shower with plenty of hot water. I was so pleased to see a proper kettle ( whistling old fashioned stove top) to make tea with as other places we'd stayed only had a coffee maker. There was a coffee maker too and a mini table top grill which did perfect toast. One real novelty for us was the enclosed porch which we loved to sit on in the evening with a distant view across to the ocean. There was also a picnic bench out the front where we sat in the sun with our breakfast one morning. Plenty of lovely towels were provided and if you needed any fresh ones you just took your used ones up to the reception area and exchanged them for clean ones. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. Bar Harbor, as a town is amazing. We'd really recommend a visit to Cadillac Mountain to see the sunset and the black night sky full of stars, and Acadia National Park. We would consider staying here again if lucky enough to return to the area.

On a séjourné 4 nuits dans une coquette maisonnette. C’était propre et on disposait de tout le nécessaire pour se faire à manger. Le personnel était accueillant, sympathique et serviable. Situé à environ 10 minutes du centre de Bar Harbor et tout près du National Park, on a bénéficié du calme tout en ayant toutes les commodités et activités tout près.
