This is a very stoppable Wallly Mart, I find. Store isn't bombed out, not a lot of open packages like in other stores and the staff were friendly to me. I don't love close to this one but I am in town enough I would stop in again.

why are the cashiers in both Bangor and Brewer so rude ? every time I shop there at either store I get a cashier with a crappy attitude.yesterday Aug 7 ,2023 I went to the only cashier that didn't have a line .( big mistake ) I said hi .No response I put my bags on the counter she tossed them to the end .I'm like ok here we go. she started slamming my items in the bags I unloaded as fast as I could so I could pack the bags myself she had bottles I'd jar sauce clashing into each other .I get home only to see I got doubled charged for a 6 pk of paper towels also a bottle of body spray .and she charged me for 2 $8.?? dog shampoo I only bought one .keep in mind I travel from Millinocket to get better deals on groceries.yesterday cost me over $250 .but I got a free bad attune at no extra cost . how can I check out myself if I pay for my things with a personal check.? I will be talking to the manager the next time I'm in Bangor .

MORE reasons to hate Walmart. Store opens at 0600. Customer service, not until 0700 No signs stating open at 0700 Buttons that say push here for assistance..that don't say not open until 0700 Employees that walk by, say nothing about not being open until 0700. And when final asking for help get very rudly and sarcastically told they don't open until 0700. Some people deserve LESS than minimum wage.

Another evening of shopping at my local Bangor Walmart tonight's experience was going OK until I came up to cash out and the employee by the name of Nicole with short red hair who is extremely sarcastically rude about my question. I had picked up the very last bottle of dove body wash and unfortunately the cap was missing .. I still wanted to buy it because it is my favorite body wash so I asked the gentleman in the aisle if I could potentially get a discount because of the missing cap and he radio down to where check out is and informed them so by the time I got down there to check out, of course the very first person I ask about getting the discounted price for the damaged product was nicole.. not sure I spell her name correctly but she is probably in her mid-40s and very short reddish hair. But her attitude was terrible for customer service! She quickly was to respond to my question with damaged goods are always thrown out we don't give them at a discounted price. So then she proceeded to walk away without any further explanation or offering to figure out a solution. So I walked down to a different manager didn't catch his name but he has longest brown hair with green tips and he had a great sense of humor and had no problem giving me a 10% discount on my product that was damaged. .. moral to this review, employees of Bangor Walmart, maybe you should seek employment elsewhere where it seems that you are extremely miserable where are you are working! There's so many employees here that are completely rude and not willing to help whatsoever and it seems more so than those that are willing to help. I'm starting to get an idea of who I can approach and who I can't approach and 99.9% of the time the look on some of the employees faces when you are approaching them just says back to F off! I don't want to deal with you! And I do understand that Walmart employees have to deal with a lot of BS on a daily basis! But you never know what a person is going through and if there simple question that you could answer is going to help them out and potentially make their day! Sometimes it's hard for people to ask for help so maybe Walmart and Bangor should host a meeting where they learn some customer service skills because it seems to me that the majority of employees at this location lack the basics of customer service and their attitudes just make you not even want to shop here! I've had many conversations with close friends about this location about how terrible they can be with any questions asked. I wish I had caught the gentleman's name that helped me when I originally spotted that my body wash container was missing its cap and if I could potentially get a discounted price. He did not hesitate to radio down to customer service to inform them that there would be a woman coming down with a damaged product and should be getting a 10% discount... so keep up the good work young man! The only description I have of him is that he was fairly tall thin and had glasses and I think lighter colored hair. I will continue to leave reviews based on my experience on my almost daily shopping at my local Bangor Walmart!

I'm what's called a 'big millennial'. I embrace technology, and hate interacting with people who despise their job. Therefore, I do scan and go. It usually is all good, however, it's probably a good idea to bring your boomer brigade at the front of the store up to speed on Walmart +. I'm not stopping, if you don't have the scanner to check my exit pass, take it up with your boss. Walmart is almost to the point where, I don't even think there's a need for cashiers. Just over night stocking and cleaning and some people when they're open to keep people from stealing. Basically, figure it out, obviously I'll keep shopping here, but I have 0 interest in interacting with staff

I ordered a time sensitive item online for curbside pickup. After receiving a message that my order was delayed (no biggie), I decided to check on the whereabouts of the package. It was literally at the FedEx location down the street and yet 36 hours later still no update and no order ready for pick up. I called several departments (a handful of times) to ask for information or suggestion...no answer. I know COVID is a strange time for all but good customer service should be a priority--especially if you know shipments are delayed. I eventually asked for a refund because 48 hours after my order was supposed to be ready, I no longer needed it.

Cancelled my online order after 3 hours of updates saying it is delayed. I just received an email saying they canceled it due to high demand. I scheduled the pickup yesterday at 3am. Now I have to re-enter my entire order and select a new time again by getting up at 3am to actually see any slots open. They were already booked for the next 4 days! Not to mention they placed a hold on my debit card of $100 which they say the bank should remove in 2 or 3 days! Target will get my business not Walmart.

I'm writing specifically pertaining to the Bangor Walmart Bakery Department. There have been a number of things recently that have not been up to standards. I ordered a cake for an honor society induction ceremony a week prior to the event. After hearing some confusion about the copyright issues pertaining to the logo we wanted to incorporate onto a cake, it was resolved with the verdict being that it shouldn't be an issue but just in case my phone number would be contacted prior to the date of pickup/the ceremony. I hadn't heard anything all week, and finally received a call from the bakery department stating that the logo wouldn't work due to copyright issues on the DAY OF THE EVENT. Not a good showcasing of professionalism, and respect for my custom order and event. I was encountered by very rude associates that didn't show a great initiative in actually helping to resolve the problem, and a particular associate Matt from the bakery department even went as far to try and cover his name tag; I felt more like an inconvenience than a prioritized customer. We were told the day of when trying to pick it up that, "we were lucky to have a cake at all" and that "because of us, an associate had to stay late, and we were all risked of our jobs". I don't feel responsible for this blame, and tried to be reciprocative when dealing with the staff. Simply, there was no way to resolve this issue and get the logo back on our cake with such extremely limited notice, and the overall theme and resulting product was simply not up to standards. Sincerely, Disappointed

I have a love/hate relationship with Walmart. The prices are unbeatable and the variety is better all the time... However. There's times I drive farther out to the other Walmart in Brewer because it's often less crowded and cleaner. This Walmart can be an absolute disaster with wicked brutal lines. The staff is genuinely friendly and hard working, I just don't think they can keep up with the amount of folks that come in. That said, you don't go to Walmart for the experience, you go because you need stuff. Go early if you don't want to wait in line.

Typical super Wal-Mart. Unbeatable prices, massive selection of everything anyone could need. Although the kids' toy section is surprisingly expensive and lacking in selection

Ordered a birthday cake three weeks ahead of time on my daughters birthday go to pick it up, haven't even started and lost my slip! So I showed them mine and demanded a manager which asked me and quote "What do you want me to do? Make a cake out of thin air?" Not happy

Ok... The store is clean and the check out doesn't take as long as other Walmart stores.... BUT, the deli department... Holy hell. We waited for 20 mins for a half pound of ham and there was only one person in front of us. This has happened a couple times. The craft and fabric department was helpful and didn't take long... That was nice for a change :)

This review is not about the store it's about the shipping process of wal mart. I ordered spfour items that was split up into three orders. I ordered them all at the same time on November 30th... And each item specifically said that they would be delivered before Christmas. So I was like "great my Christmas gifts for my two little sisters will be here before Christmas." I ordered three footie pajamas and the walking dead season one. The only reason why I ordered these items is because they said that they would be here before Christmas and because each item was only 10$. So I paid for the items and I receive an email that two of the pajamas shipped. Great I thought.. But I was wrong I looked at it said that they would not be here until January 15th.. And then the next day the walking dead shipped and that also said the date was January 15th. It's been a week and the other pj still hasn't shipped.. And I can't get a refund or cancelation or anything for the other three items. I did cancel the third Pjs. But if I knew that the "guarenteer before Christmas delivery" was fake I never would have purchased.. But it wasn't until AFTER I bought the items did they tell me that they wouldn't be delivered u til January 15th a whole MONTH AND A HALF AFTER I PURCHASED THEM 56 days total. I feel lied to and practically my money was stolen because the whole reason I bought them was to give them for a Christmas present.
