Lovely place. Just spent the night and wish I could stay longer. The owner met me after check in time due to flight delays and helped with luggage in the pouring rain. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy.

The proprietors of this B&B have done a phenomenal job of restoring this old house. They also own the restaurant next to the house. We ate there also. Tasty, excellent service, but pricey. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was kinda a letdown (small plate of fruit and a biscuit), so you may want to bring your own. They DID, however, accommodate someone in our party who eats only gluten-free bread. I sincerely hope the area around them improves.

Wow! What an unexpected, amazing experience. Bob, one of the owners, was extraordinary. He worked with us regarding our stay as we almost had to cancel due to weather conditions. We were able to make it just fine and were greeted at the inn personally by Bob. He got us set up in our room, and since it was late and we hadn’t eaten, he was kind enough to drive us to his restaurant down the road. He showed us around and got us seated. We felt like royalty. The inn and restaurant were all within walking distance of downtown Bangor, so we easily walked back after our night out. The actual stay at the inn was comfortable and quiet. It’s an absolutely beautiful house with all the amenities you would need. Breakfast was served in the morning with coffee and delicious baked goods from the family’s own bakery. We actually got to meet and chat with the father of the owner at breakfast, and he was an absolute gem. The entire family seems so lovely. The whole experience was quite magical, and we hope to return in the future!

A beautifully and sensitively restored and renewed grand house. Everything was top notch. Bob and Tricia have put their passion and soul into this house, you can feel. It was a surprise to us, the location is great, walking distance to the shops, and restaurants in Downtown, Bangor was a surprise to us! Great restaurants, shops, craft brew places all with good food and drink and good service. We will be back.Rooms: I can't say enough about the rooms, the "zero gravity" bed we had was super comfortable. however I did gain some gravity from the food a drink, the bed didn't zero it out.Walkability: Near downtown, it is on a hill.Food & drinks: The Taratine restaurant/club next door is exquisite, the beef and fish were perfectly cooked.

Stayed here for one night during a trip for SK Tours (which was amazing) and this place was absolutely lovely!! The owner had us text them when we were close so they could meet us, they showed us around the inn and to our room, and told us to text him if we wanted to eat at The Tarratine that night. There was music playing in the common spaces and it really set the atmosphere (and no it wasn't too loud, just soft instrumental type music). The room (we had the Laughlin 3B) was soo lovely, there was a frame that explained the history of the woman that the room was named after which was a really nice touch. The breakfast in the morning was as beautiful as it was delicious, the pastries were to die for. My partner was still talking about how good they were a day or two later!! Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Bangor, and while you're there go to The Tarratine for dinner, so good!

We stayed at The Tarratine Inn for the second night of our honeymoon on our way to Canada. The owners greeted us upon arrival and were very friendly and helpful. The inn and its accommodations are charming and have a quintessentially historic New England style. Our room was beautifully furnished, quite spacious, and comfortable. At the recommendation of the owner, we had a lovely dinner at The Tarratine - the food was delicious and a decent value for the quality and service. Both the hotel and restaurant are within walking distance of many attractions in Bangor and about an hour’s drive from Acadia National Park. We had a restful night and were given breakfast to go as we wanted to get on the road early the next morning. We definitely plan on returning at some point as our stay was excellent! Highly recommended!

Hidden gem in Bangor! I agree with a previous post, I can’t believe they don’t have more reviews. Incredible Inn and the Quirk’s are extremely wonderful and so friendly. It has been such a warm and welcoming stay and I can’t wait to come back! The rooms are spacious and the beds are so so so comfortable. We had the most delicious pastries at breakfast with coffee! If you haven’t booked your reservation yet, just do it!

A super awesome B&B in Bangor in an amazing old home with amazing rock work exteriors and very large rooms. The owners are very sweet, knowledgeable and willing to help in anyway. Breakfast is a lite crescent with jam, fresh local fruits, and coffee or tea.
