This store is a mess. Worst Target I have ever shopped. Unorganized merchandise and unpacked boxes crowding almost every aisle.

This is the worst Target store I have ever been to. it is always messy. the sales area for womens clothing is terribly unorganized with garments all over the floor. Walking through the store is difficult as there are always boxes and huge crates in the isles as if they are constantly restocking. but lots of shelves are empty and disorganized. You would think they are understaffed- but then you see employees standing around in small groups chatting and carrying on, laughing, etc. I'm glad that it's such a pleasant place to work, but you ACTUALLY HAVE WORK and i think management forgot to tell them that. i think the upper management in that store really has to go, it's very unpleasant to shop here. I never thought I'd say this but Walmart is ran better.

Maybe a better updated inventory and more helpful employees would improve this rating. Will be spending my money elsewhere

First off, I only needed a few things and it took a ridiculous amount of time to find anything. I went into the woman's plus area. It was a joke and disgusting. The area was a mess. It was so close to the fitting room so it was in plain sight but no one even attempted to clean. They had the clearance racks that had no rhyme or reason. I would never go back to that store. I would travel to southern Maine to get what I needed.

Just needed a couple things but they must not like selling things because there were only two cashiers , and they made molasses uphill look fast. Plenty of workers walking around but none of them on registers? What Gives.

We have shopped at Target for many years, first in southern Maine and then in FLorida when we lived there for several years. They have a good selection and decent prices, and we like their corporate social and political outlook. Having moved back to central Maine, we have had multiple opportunities to shop in Bangor and we like this branch just fine. There was an odd incident when an item we wanted was attached with a security lock, and when we tracked down an employee he couldn't unlock it. He called his supervisor, who was able to free it for us. But then at the register, the cashier couldn't disarm the item. But we saw the same supervisor in the area and got his attention. He freed it up again for us, using a method probably not approved by the makers of the device, but clearly it was malfunctioning. I don't mention this as a criticism. The cashier, the floor employee and his supervisor were friendly and anxious to help. I know from my years in customer service that often how you respond to a problem is more important than the fact that there is a problem. So we will continue to shop here. I only wish it was half buried in the rabbit warren that is the Bangor Mall/Stillwater/Hogan Road shopping zoo.

I'm disgusted in how the management and employees harassed a breastfeeding mother. She is protected by Federal Law. She asked for a place to go and was denied so she fed her child covered up (which she didn't even need to do). Then was insulted and shamed. I hope this is addressed and no other mother has to face this.

My friends and I were all at the self checkout. Some of us were paying together and others separately. We didn't cover anything or sneak anything at all. None of us has ever been in any sort of trouble. They assumed we were stealing. Two employees an older man and woman were standing there loudly speaking about the fact that they have cameras. I turned around and told them we weren't and let them all watch us check out the rest of our items. Keep in mind we are all POC. Thank you target

I've delayed reviewing Target because I felt like I needed to shop here a few more times before I could really speak to how they treat trans people. It's been a few months and I now feel like I can report back with confidence! My story begins very early this year, when my partner and I were shopping for leggings and we were rung through by a cashier, Hunter. I was paying for the leggings and Hunter commented 'Expensive!' and told my partner 'You're stealing his money'. I'm a trans woman. We felt awful from this exchange and didn't know what to do for a few days until we finally went in to the customer service desk, where we were told that they'd had 'problems' with Hunter before. We filled out a comment card and decided to come back later to see if Hunter was still around. The next time we came through, as we were leaving Hunter approached us and said 'Have a great evening, GUYs' in a very sarcastic voice. I believe after this, we emailed the manager about our experience with Hunter, including that he'd insulted us, misgendered me, and insulted what we were buying. And then suddenly, we stopped seeing Hunter there. We assumed that he'd been fired. Suddenly we almost liked Target, knowing that they'd fire someone who had been mistreating a trans woman. But since this experience, there have been too many times when we have come in and asked their cisgender staff for help and had them avoid us altogether, become flustered and nervous, or downright passive-aggressive. There are a few (probably LGBT) people up front who are OK toward us. But I can't expect to be treated well by most of the people working the floor. It's a bummer. Target trades so hard on their LGBT-friendliness, having a showing at Portland Pride and everything. But when it comes down to how their regular cishet staff treat a lesbian couple, one of whom is trans, it's so incredibly lacking. It's as if the thing that got Hunter fired was that he called their product expensive, and not about how he treated us.

The two star description fits the store perfectly...Meh, I've experience better...and I mean literally. Since moving back to Maine I have been to this store many times and not once have I really been impressed with it. From the front to the back its consistently a mess. Bullseye playground or See Spot Save is never, and I mean NEVER organized even after it's reset. Yes it is heavily shopped but that is simply an excuse for laziness in this store on the management's part. Secondly I frequently see flats, tubs and pallets of merchandise blocking aisles. (See the pics I posted and someone else's pics that actually look even worse.) Now how I know this could be better is because I worked many years for Target (not this store) and one of the stores was a high volume store in Florida...this is not a high volume store. In my stores these kind of things were NEVER tolerated. If they were it might only be around Black Friday or Christmas itself but that was it. The Bullseye Playground in my stores was always neat and organized. The only time it was ever trashed was during a clearance period at most. You might think that those pics were taken after a weekend when stores get trashed but they weren't, they were taken in the middle of the week. They were also taken on my second trip to the store after visiting it the previous week. I didn't bother taking pics then thinking it would be better the following week...I was wrong. The only redeeming quality that I can find in this particular store is that the team members are always nice and pleasant when you need assistance and at the front lanes. The problems in this store appear to be management issues and possibly even lack of regional management support or training. My store had frequent visits from regional managers and HQ suits so that probably makes a huge difference in how the store responds to problems like one. The sad part is anyone in the area that has never been to a really nice Target probably thinks they are all like this. Unfortunately the people in the Bangor area are being robbed of what a really nice Target shopping experience should be...trust me, it doesn't involve digging through bins at Bullseye Playground, blocked aisle of back stock or inaccessible departments.

Stop pulling stuff from the shelves when there are good coupons!!! There should be a policy against that!

Never enough registers open, nor is there an express checkout. If you have 3 things you end up waiting behind someone with a full cart.
