Prices were very affordable as should be unlike goodwill being so expensive but the cashier was extremely rude 11/18/2023 around 2 pm. We were trying to be extremely nice, bc short staffed & we got a lot of stuff & a head board we needed help with. There was an item that was missing a price and we were just asking if it a unique item could be re-priced/reprocessed very nicely as we live far away & can’t come back often. We weren’t sure on the procedure, and she was very combative & very rude about it. Very accusatory honestly “No. We can’t. It’s policy bc customers keep ripping off tags to get things for cheap!” Everything was super affordable and very fairly priced at $1.99 and 3-4 dollars an item in clothing & knitting items….. we apologized for having so much stuff and taking so long and then she said “No. my manager is on break. Everybody deserves a break here! We’re here all day.” as if we were hinting that they were taking too long with dealing with customers. We were just apologizing for buying so much stuff bc we found a lot of good stuff She honestly made us kind of feel bad for no reason at all…. Wonderful experience besides the cashiers attitude!!! Definitely needs to work on that bc it was so pleasant & such a good day until dealing with her!!!!

I shop here every Saturday for my day out. Thank you for keeping your prices down where poor people and seniors can afford to go to.

Good prices on some things. Usually happy here as I go there often. But brought 2 blankets up to register and because the tags fell off they epuldnt sell me the blankets. So disappointed. I was willing to pay full price for whatever they said. They told me come back in 2 days when they cluld put new prices on them and put them on the shelf again. I didnt say anything, besides I wondered why I couldnt just buy them. I bought my other items that had tags on them and walked out.

Its never been like this before? And now you say your open today but we get there and you just have a stupid sign saying you're closed for "good friday" but it wasn't even listed on the Google map that you were closed?I hope you realized i had a breakdown over this. Love it whenever I'm in bangor, please support them, I've been to some of there places they really do feed the hungry and help the less fortunate, don't mind the billionaire ceo's,,, the people who do the football work have a compassion for people, ever been homeless in the winter, lose a job and a place to live, maybe a flood or fire. Maybe an addition, (no judgment) salvation army's been helping people sincerely forever so if you don't find anything you like, drop a $buck or two anyway, you will be helping someone locally, trust me, it helps especially now in winter. When all the once a year do gooders already gave for the Hollidays, Don't hate they gave and someone eat that day, but they're still hungry (a dare) drop in drop a buck or two and leave, I will bet, you'll feel really good. and someone will feel good after they have a hot meal, pass it on

Picked up some small toys for our Grandchildren when they visit, the cashier women were so very nice and helpful they even started to pack our shopping bags when we brought them from the car! Smiles were abound and the store is clean and well organized for a thrift store!

I've been visiting this location for 7 years and it's always disorganized and messy. Truthfully, I thought it was fun to dig around for things for a while. The store itself has taken a sharp turn for the worst though. Half of the items in the store aren't priced clearly or at all anymore. That means that I usually get lots of stuff taken away from me to be reprocessed out back when I go to the register. I get the same spiel about not being able to price things on the spot, company policy, sorry for the inconvenience, and to come back to the store in a few days and the items might be back on the shelves again. The employees at this store are overworked and have no support and are not empowered to do right by the customers that Salvation Army relies on. Frankly, they all look like they would rather shoot themselves than be at work and take forever to get anything done at all. There's mountains of donations out back but they can't actually sell any of it because of the constant state of disorganization and endless cycle of processing or reprocessing. The four tin containers that I wanted to buy from Salvation Army for my craft room were removed from my cart because they weren't priced and needed to be reprocessed. That was 6 days ago and those tin containers are still sitting behind the register gathering dust. It's frustrating to have the money but be denied the actual purchase because of ineptitude on Salvation Army's part. I will not come back to this location again.

When shopping with my two younoig kids my 3 year old found a little stuffed animal she wanted. When I got to the cashier after shopping for myself I was told that they wouldn't sell it because it did not have a price. I asked for a manager to price for me. I was told that their policy was to send it back to be processes and would take 2 days for it to came back out on the floor to be sold. How rediculas. What a waste of time. When agrued I was told it was a good lesson for my child. Tell me what lesson is being told to a 3 year old to find a toy and then not be allowed to purchase. The most rediculas thing is that I had another a stuffed animal that was same shape and size with a price tag and would still not sell to me.

I love going in here. I usually find some sort of treasure or a great deal. I would love to be able to buy furniture there but, it's cash and carry. You pay for it, you take it right then. No time to borrow a truck and pick it up.I have to say I'm rather surprised at some.of the prices in there today. More the clothing than anything else. $10 for a pair of shorts that have stains on them because they were Gap. I passed. On the other hand, my son got a microwave for $8 so, that was an amazing find since he is just getting his own place.I recommend going in often since there is new stuff on the daily. I myself go once a week.
