Went in to have a new debit card made and machine broke, so I asked that they just send me one in the mail. (I was told the machine had broke earlier but instead of telling me this she tried it again and wasted my time for it to not work again. ) I was told 5-7 business days. I called the main line because it never came and they never even had one being sent to me at all and was told it'd be an additional 7-14 days so I should just go back, or to Brewer. Luckily I have a credit card I am able to use, but some people do not have this option. It's been a pain and I've never had ANY issues at the other branches. I would recommend driving to Brewer first unfortunately.

The best experience at a local bank for business that I have ever experienced! Always friendly and willing to help, they go the extra mile! Ryan, Todd, Lee-Ann are just a few that I have had the experience of doing business with and the tellers are always fantastic and friendly! Highly recommend and I enjoy the "old fashion" way of banking that still puts a value on relationships!! Keep up the good work Machias Savings Bank!

I am in the process of switching my business banking fro another local bank and Machias Savings has made the process very simple. Very friendly staff and looking forward to a friendlier bank that works for their customer.

At my BNI meeting this week, my banker, Tristine Sargent, from Machias Savings Bank was our guest speaker. She explained that every employee at Machias has the responsibility to “do whatever takes” for their clients. I have been a personal and business client of Machias Savings Bank for many years, and what Tristine described has always been my experience, everyone there does whatever it takes. If you are looking for a bank, I highly recommend Machias Savings Bank. As a mutual savings bank, they understand the importance of commitment to their community and show it through their support to small, local businesses. - Don Hanson, Green Acres Kennel Shop, Bangor, ME

The loan officer was great to work with but when they tell you a 640 is the banks policy to get a home loan, you get approval from the underwriter and ME state housing, get ready for ONLY the appraisal and closing just to have them tell you they decided you’ll need a 660 and there’s nothing they can do for you is insane. I’ve paid About $1000 towards closing and inspections and was ready to pay the $100 for the MSH class (glad I at least saved $100)... I’m at a loss for words and can’t believe this is right.
