“Checked into the romantic suite for my birthday with my husband, I was super excited. We walk into the room with all of our luggage and the bed was a mess, trash everywhere. Go to the front desk and they tell us that housekeeping isn’t available and switched our room, a room that was NOT the romantic suite or romantic at all. Super disappointed about this whole experience. Would have been great if they offered us that room at another time when it was actually cleaned but nope.?”

Overall, my experience was positive.The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, which made my stay more enjoyable. They were helpful with any questions I had and provided excellent customer service throughout my time there.The hotel's central location was convenient for exploring Bangor and its surrounding areas. It was easy to access nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions, which added to the convenience of my stay.However, one minor issue I encountered was that parking could be scarce at times. This was a bit inconvenient, especially when returning to the hotel in the evening. It would be beneficial for the hotel to address this issue to improve the overall guest experience.Despite this small drawback, I would recommend the Residence Inn by Marriott Bangor to other travelers. Its friendly staff and central location make it a great choice for anyone visiting the area.”

“Lovely place. Just spent the night and wish I could stay longer. The owner met me after check in time due to flight delays and helped with luggage in the pouring rain. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy.”

“This hotel is now called the Bangor Grande. The previous ownership clearly started to let the place go down in quality. Not sure why. I had stayed there for many years and enjoyed it until the last few years. But under the new ownership, I've seen many new improvements each time I've stayed over the last year and a half. I recommend this location to anyone who wants to stay in Bangor at a very affordable price. And I forgot to mention that this hotel has the best pool in Bangor.”

“Stayed there for a week during August, 2016 when moving back to Maine six years ago, after spending a previous week at the Ranger Inn, also of Bangor, Maine, while searching for an apartment at the height of the tourist season when most all Maine hotels raised their prices, and often had no vacancies.The Ranger Inn was OK, for the price, but the Riverview at similar prices, was a bit nicer, had less trashy renters, and a great view of the river from the hotel porch decks, which had outdoor furniture.Great for enjoying a few beers, light music, and small talk, from a nice outdoor front porch with a scenic view.Sadly, the Riverview had no WI-FI internet which the Ranger Inn had, which was essential for apartment hunting.Internet had to be used at Applebee's as a patron, or the Bangor, Eagles Lodge, or the Bangor VFW.Yes, worth the price, but rooms were first come, first served, as long as vacancies lasted, with NO reservations.The Managers/Staff were great people. Very helpful.”

“I had made my reservations for 2 days, literally just a few hours before I needed to check in. Not only was staff I encountered very polite and courteous but most accommodating. The room I got was very quiet, clean, spacious and the bed was OH SO COMFY. There's been quite a few changes since it was a Motel 6, the quality, prices, and staff were just the starters. I stayed for 2 nights, Monday and Tuesday, and I'm absolutely satisfied with my stay. Thank you so much ABVI for making my last minute getaway a comfortable one! I'll be back! 10/10 would recommend.Rooms: These rooms are just so awesome, the bathroom vanity is modernized, as well as the tubs and toilet. Marble countertops, with very nice Oak Wood planked floors.Safety: I felt very secure with this location because there isn't a spot outside on this property that isn't on surveillance. The doors on the rooms have both a dead bolt and chain lock. Also, there was snowfall during my stay, and the groundskeeper doesn't skimp on the salt/ice melt at all. No slipping happening here!Noteworthy details: These rooms come with a mini-fridge, and microwave and the ones in my room was just sparkling clean. You can tell the housekeeping cares.”

I was able to park and come directly thru locked outer door into my room which was convenient for my mom.Safety: Shower had safety barWalkability: Was able to park at a side door entrance and come directly in front of my room door.”
