Have purchased thousands of dollars worth of tools here at Harbor Freight. Granted...these tools are throw away cheap knock off tools. I am a retired mechanic and am accustomed to using Snap-On, Mac, Matco, Starett, Brown and Sharpe, ect. Brand name, guaranteed tools. But in October of 2021 I was rebuilding the ring and pinion in my pickup and needed a 12 ton shop press and a slide hammer puller. Didn't want to spend a lot on a tool I was going to use once, so I purchased these from Harbor Freight. I was offered a one year extended warranty on the press, and after discussing it with the salesman, declined because he assured me that if I had any issues at all I could return it and exchange it for another same jack. I took it home and assembled it and used it the next day. The following day I noticed oil leaking out of the jack. After looking closely, I noticed it was leaking directly through the cast iron base. Poor pig iron cast iron. Porous. Don't make it into Bangor often. So Yesterday I had a eye doctor appointment so I carried them in with me to exchange them. They refused to exchange them. I told him I only used them once and they both broke. He didn't care. He said " I don't know what to tell you". I said "I know what to tell you then, I'll never buy tools here again if you don't stand behind your word or tools". I opened the puller box and dumped the tools outside the door onto the ground as people coming into the store looked in astonishment. I told them that this business doesn't stand behind their products, and to not trust what they say when you buy tools there. I'm tired of these businesses cropping up here in Maine just to shaft us. Don't support these businesses.

I love harbor freightThe tools are nice and the prices are way lower than u would pay elsewhere. So many tools to choose from. Tool boxes and more for cheap prices. Who wouldn't love that. I just bought a handheld code reader for 100 bucks that does a lot of things. Many different models to pick from.

Don’t buy a Jackery from this place!! If you have to return it for any reason, they will slap you with a 20% restocking fee. In my case, I tried to bring back the item that cost me over $550 to purchase and they expected me to pay $111 restocking fee just because I wasn’t satisfied with the product. Never heard of that in my entire life!!!

Snap on was too busy to call back. I set up my shop with US General carts and tool roller cabinets presses motorcycle work tables and lifts. I have yet to have an issue they didn't solve while I was there. Never a frown never a problem. I'm not about to ruin a good relationship to save a buck. It's a 2.5 hr drive each way and well worth it.

It's a small Harbor Freight store. They work really hard to keep the place stocked and tidy. Have all the specials that are advertised on the flyers.Great customer service!

sometimes you need just that tool quick, it helps to have a place like this to run in and grab it, staff is friendly, helpful and they are usually stocked quite well.

Don’t waste your time here! The employees and manager are rude and unprofessional! Not sure how this guy was made manager, but he’s under qualified! Will never shop there again!
