Ever want to go to a place where making fun of autistic children is okay? Game citadel is your place. Want to go to a place where the workers berate you and are rude and condescending the whole time? Game citadel checks that box too. I figured a hobby store would be a place of acceptance for all different kinds of people, a place to play your favorite card or tabletop game with your friends, instead you'll question whether or not you even want to keep playing your game. Terrible service, don't know how you're still in business.

What a great store! Girlpla(only kotobukiya though), gunpla, DnD, Warhammer, bishouju statues and more! There's also gaming tables, a snack vending machine, board games, model paint supply and used video games? Geez there's a lot to the place! Very complete, especially for Maine.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I understand talking to someone but when a customer is standing in line to check out you shouldn't carry on a conversation for almost 10 minutes without any assistance.

Very rude staff. I never encountered anything like this. I wish I could give them zero stars.

Game Citadel on Broadway in Bangor has a history of repeatedly being condescending, rude, abrasive, and downright unpleasant to customers since it’s inception. My wife, mother in-law, and brother in-law (who spend good money there on a weekly basis) experienced the owners blatantly callous, dismissive, and superior attitude firsthand simply upon asking a question about their second location. After hearing the snarky, sarcastic responses, and the laughter between the owner and his gaming buddies, my family left, embarrassed, and angry. NEEDLESS to say, neither they nor myself will be shopping there in the future. This post will probably not come as a shock to those in the community who do D&D, Warhammer, Pathfinder, MtG, etc. as there are quite a few scathing reviews, but this is frankly pretty disgusting behavior. To the owner: For what reason would a local hobby store treat their clientele this way? Are you telling me that you do so much business that you can afford to turn customers away? Is it to feel better about yourself? Is it that you just don’t like interacting with people? Seems like you’re in the wrong line of work. Be less terrible in the future.

Have gone in a couple times in the past with my kids. I recently had a pretty extensive surgery and had been rehabbing down in bangor at my daughter's. My son has an interest in dungeons and dragons. And has gotten me into painting minatures. Which has been really like my therapy.Loved this store when we first started going. Which was a couple times a week at least. Owner was even nice enough to give us a large minature that someone had returned. However, today when we went in. My son questioned him about his new store in orono. And he was a condescending j**** He acted like it was a stupid question to be curious of what they would have in stock at their new location. We will not be back. I will drive to the 2 very nice stores in Augusta or order online from now on. He lost our business today unfortunately because of his attitude and the way he talks to his good paying customers.

Horrible customer service. Arrogant person behind the desk that could barely bother to stand up when asking for product. Never again will I set foot in that establishment

I'm really enjoying the new location. My kids had a good time finding something they wanted and I was able to get some supplies I needed for my card collecting. Will definitely support the business as much as I can!

I am up visiting from Florida and I haven't found a game store this nice down there. I was focused mainly on the board games. There was a very nice selection and variety. If you are in the area I would recommend checking out.

Went in once a few months ago, and found the staff to be over-mighty and pedantic, and acted as if I was an inconvenience when they had an empty store. Thinking of myself as a bit of a misnomered silly goose I decided to come here when considering what store I should invest my loyalty, as I’ve recently established myself here. This will be my last resort place and I can owe the owners behavior here as putting the last nail in my coffin, even considering I’m right next to the place.Sorry, but hobbies are where people go to be happy, not exploited.See ya only if I absolutely have to.Learn how to make a good first impression, and learn how to get to a second one. I would have left 3 stars, but the way this owner handles customer reviews just bleeds narcism and avarice.
